So I was at Petsmart today.  I have not been there in a long time since I usually go to Petco (If I need to go to a pet store anyways) and I noticed they remodeled and got new stock!  They have oxbow products now….Sadly a 5 lb bag of adult oxbow rabbit food is just as much as a 10 lb bag on BB.  =/ It’s crazy how they can have their prices so high! I was so excited to see they had oxbow there and then I was discouraged because of the high price!  Well at least they have it there.

You’re so lucky! The Petsmart near me only sells hay. =p

Yeah, I was so surprised when I walked down the small animal section! lol I saw the oxbow treats and was like waaaaiiit a second here they never had oxbow stuff before and then I turned around and they had the oxbow food! xD So cool. Wish it wasn’t so expensive there though and I wish they had a 10 lb bag. They only had 5 lb bags there. Maybe if I request it they will get some in? Still expensive there though.

They have had Oxbow at my local Petsmart for awhile now. It is more expensive there, but it is nice to know they carry it just in case you have a “pellet emergency”. LOL

I buy Oxbow at the feed store. It is cheaper there, plus they honor Oxbow’s punch cards.

hmmm I haven’t seen oxbow at my feed store but next time I go I will check it out. I normally just order online but I do hate paying shipping. =/

the Petsmart near me gets Oxbow hay all the time. but I still buy my pellets from Tractor Supply I get a 25 lb bag of Purina show rabbit food for 10.00 that usually last us a little over a month. If I need Oxbow products like Critical Care I get it from my vet at a discount. I dont do much treats other then dehydrated fruits once in a great while or fresh raisins or something like that.

Yeah I don’t do treats much either, just fruits every once in a while. I do have bunny biscuits though that they haven’t gotten in a while. I should give them one tonight. =P

I buy the 10 lb bag of oxbow pellets since I only have two rabbits at the moment. Probably will have three soon. I don’t buy oxbow hay. I’ve been getting hay from the rescue but I’m probably just going to order some hay soon instead to get more.

I just think it’s great that my petsmart carries oxbow products now. Maybe they are starting to care a little bit? If only they could educate their employees on PROPER animal care instead of having them tell people wrong information and have people buy wrong stuff. =/

I was buying Oxbow at the store for a little while, but you’re right, the price is just too high. You can get a much better deal online. Also, my store very rarely kept it in stock. Their trucks would be unloaded on Wednesdays, and I had to go either late Wednesday or early Thursday. If I waited til Friday, the shelves would be cleared. They only had facings for about 8 bags of adult and 8 bags of young rabbit pellets. So while it’s good to know they carry it in case you run out, I would not “count on it” being available.

My petsmart has had oxbow a while and they always have it in stock. It is my emergency “omg the bunnies need pellets and my online order isn’t here yet” stop. They had it on sale last week for only $12 for a 5lb instead of the normal $14.99 they typically charge. Still cheaper online. Tractor supply and petco carry it too here. I do buy the bags of hay there sometimes as well, only way to get oat hay locally.
