  So we found this great Pet Store that’s close to us, and I spoke with the owner and asked if she’d have us in her store to do adoptions. Not only does she want us(AND refuses to sell animals in her store!!!), but she wants to keep some buns there for adoption (working out the semantics on screening through a store) AND she’s a pro horse trainer and wants to volunteer with our horse shelter!
  
  So tomorrow’s my first day there!! Got my pwrpoint almost done, table and chairs ready -we’re all set for tomorrow!! Wish me luck!!

  Now you can add the article that came out this morning. I’d scan the pix and headline and first 2 paragraphs, maybe, and pop it in with the Journal’s date and banner showing. Print is impressive.

  It went well, it’s a new store so their wasn’t too much traffic but luckily the ferriar couldn’t come today so the horse volunteers all came with me and I didn’t have to go by myself! We left a binder with all our adoptables’ in there, plus posters and we’re going biweekly so hopefully this helps adoptions!

  That’s great that the petstore wants to work with a rescue. Hopefully it will encourage more people to adopt! I can’t believe all the publicity you’re getting all at once.. that’s awesome for HERR, congrats!

  Thank you!! It went pretty well, they’re new so they weren’t too busy. But they were expecting us, put up our posters and are keeping a binder that we printed up everybuns profile in-with some pamphlets. We did recruit a horse volunteer though…We’re going to post something that gives the dates we’ll be there so hopefully their will be more potential adopters there next time! They gave us a spot in the window-so that was nice!

  That’s awesome that your getting so much publicity! I love pet stores that do adoptions through shelters instead of selling.
