        Greetings from france !
I am new here as I finally decided to join this forum
(Which has often been useful to me).
But if I registered it isn’t without a reason.
        So here it is:
A year ago my boyfriend offered me an incredibly lovely
Angora toy bunny. His name is Patchouli ( we were told she
was a girl but well… he is not.)
Regardless, half a year ago he was also diagnosed with
        E. Cuniculi which was instantly followed by a treatment.
Luckily for us she quickly recovered, no more running around
In circles, no head tilt BUT it seems like she lost her
Stability. She can still do binkies ( but very rarely),
Run around HOWEVER I wonder if the fact that he hardly
Ever stands on his hind legs and never jumps or hardly
ever makes high binkies could be a permanant effect
        After E. Cuniculi ?
Could it be the case ?
        Should I be worried ?

Some buns do get permanent sequelae after e cuniculi, but six months is too soon to tell if the damage really is permanent. Healing can go on for a long time after treatment has been terminated.

Bunnies binky less as they mature, both less frequently and less high in the air, but they do stand on their hind legs for treats regardless of age, so that doesn’t seem normal.

You can do repeat treatment with the same med (Panacur, fenbendazole) she got for the ec every six months after finished treatment, for 9 days. This is to prevent the symptoms from recurring. It’s very difficult to completely eradicate the parasite, so trying to keep a dormantLow grade infection (or infestation) from becoming active again is very important
