Hi everyone!
I’ve been having some issues with my normally well-behaved bun. She is around 3 years old and is not spayed (I plan on having her spayed in the next month or so). I rescued her about a year and a half ago, and although very timid, she has always had pretty good behavior. She didn’t chew cords or furniture and she always used her litterbox. In fact, she was so good, I allowed her to have free range some days in the top level of my house!
Now, I’ve found a few chewed cords and a few spots where she peed. I’m not sure what to do! I read somewhere that if a rabbit stops using their litterbox, you should decrease the size of their cage. I’m trying this, but my problem is that she’s normally free range – so how small do I make it? Its currently probably about 9 x 5 feet, but I ending up seeing another peed spot today.
What can I do to make her stop chewing on wires again and start going in the litterbox again? Any advice? Thank you!
