I like to have the rabbits out at night while we are watching TV and Penny likes to sit on my lap and I will pet her- it I stop I usually get a nudge or a nip.  Last night we were having dessert- lemon pie.  The pie was on a rigid plastic plate and my bunnies are always interested in smelling what I am eating especially if it is sweet- but they will never try anything.  Penny will mark anything you offer her (or she thinks you are offering her- remote, fork, etc).  She was so impatient for me to finish that she grabbed my plate and yanked it away right out from underneath my pie.  It was totally like the magician and the tablecloth.  Naughty bunny- I had pie all over my blanket- but then I was pretty much finished and could resume petting her after cleaning the blanket.   She had never done that before so it was totally unexpected.  The dogs thought that was a pretty cool trick that resulted in a treat for them.

Funny how impatient bunnies can get!

Charlie gets onto my plate while I’m eating. Drives me crazy!

Mmmmm….pie! ^_^ If I’d been sitting there I’d have yanked it out from your hands myself! xD

            Funny bunny! ^_^

3 of my buns have done this at one time or another. When Carrera was little if I sat on the couch to eat something she would grab the plate (usually plastic) and then would yank it away from me. One time ended up with chocolate pudding all over me. lol

              They are so stinkin funny!

My buns will be so pushy about seeing what I am eating- yet they don’t actually want any.  Cotton even sniffs the glass to see what I am drinking.  I am assuming the sweet smell of Mountain Dew attracted her- but then she turned around to hop away and flicked her feet and knocked the glass over.  So now no drinks of any type by Cotton, I have caught them once of twice but once I had one hit the floor, that was enough for me.  So when bunnies are out- we have to keep passing the glass back and forth between us and the coffee table where she can not knock it over.

                Bunnies have us well trained!

Reminds me of this video: Weebl & Bob – Pie

Edit: I found the original site. I just linked it here instead of using the weird fuzzy youtube version. If you click the link, it’ll go to the above address.

This is all because I think bunny’s stealing plates and standing on them is just so cute!!!!

Pepper did that the first time I had people over after she moved in.

She was up in someone’s face and I kept saying “look – just press down lightly on her head” and they were all “no, it’s fine”

until 2 second later when she grabbed his bowl of snack mix in her teeth and YANKED, causing a rather impressive snack-mix-splosion.  She made off with a pretzel in the confusion…

lolz…I can’t tell you how many times that’s happened to me as far as telling someone, “I’m warning you…” when it comes to one of my naimals. Right down to my big, shaggy dog, a good friend of ours who thought he was all that with huskies goes up to pet my Shadow and the dog nearly took his arm off with the snap he took at him. The idiot just goes right back and tries to pet him again and I had to pull the dog back and tell him, “Not the brightest bulb in the box, are you?”

Awww…but bunnies are so cute and adorable and gentle…they’d never do anything…WAAAAHHHH! COME BACK WITH MY CAR KEYS YOU THIEF!

                                I LOVE that pic C&C!

My bunnies are thus far not interested in my plates of food…but only because they’re spoilt rotten, and have trained me that they MUST have a treat everytime I walk past their pens into the kitchen. They go into a food-frenzy and will not settle down until I give them something…luckily, they only expect bribes at night, so I can go into the kitchen unharrassed during the day.

Spoilt things are going to be fat even without getting into my food…

snack-mix-splosion! Hahaha…people never expect fluffy creatures to be evil for some reaon.
Huskies are soo cute, (Went to pet my shadow lol) but I don’t think it’s ever a good idea to pat a dog before asking it’s owner/parent “Can I pet the dog?” My dog was pretty evil that way, she gave off a calm, happy demeanour then bit people when they tried to pet her.
