Ok, everyone Loves Oxbow, but it’s extremely expensive! What else do others use? ALSO, i bought Small world, i know it’s not good for them now, but is it safeto use 1 bag up? If not i will throw away…

I don’t know what Small World is but Oxbow is a pretty good brand. They are a little pricier but you only need to feed a small amount so a bag should last a while anyway. Sherwood is supposed to be a great brand, I’ve not tried it as it’s difficult to get in the UK.

Just researched that brand. I’d avoid it like the plague. They literally state on their website that hay isn’t necessary. It’s disgusting that a company for rabbit food can spout such ludicrous misinformation.

Are you in the U.S.? I get most of my hay and feed at drsfostersmith.com. Their Oxbow products have been on sale for a while. The shipping is free if you get at least $19 worth of merchandise. I just bought a 10 pound bag of Oxbow Essential Adult pellets. It was $18.69 (usually $23.22). They also have 5 pound bags and 25 pound bags. I think the 5 pound bag is on sale for $10.62.

If you do go onto a new brand, mix a little of what you are using currently in with the new. The new brand pellets may even suggest this transitioning on there packaging.

Over the years I’ve become familar with names of a few brands people have mentioned on here (although ive not seen the pellets in person). Other then what has been mentioned (Oxbow, Sherwood) American Pet Diner, Kaytee Timothy Complete, KMS hayloft and Supreme Science Select are some other brands maybe worth a look.

                    What age are your rabbits?
