B’s just started to pee outside of her litterbox.  Not sure what is going on.  Does anyone know what I should be looking out for?  I clean her littbox daily.  Bottom of box has feline pine and on top of that hit has aspen shavings.  On the other side I put her hay for her to munch on.  Def weird bc she was doing so fine with her litter box.  She eats well with both her vege’s and her pellets.  Not sure what other signs I should look for.  FYI her pee also looks normal bun pee.

If she is not neutered that could be the cause of this new problem.  Buns like to mark.  Are there other buns or pets around. Anything new. That could do it too. Or a bladder infection if she is having difficulty peeing. Which I doubt. You can watch her to make sure. My girls were sharing a cage and started doing this at 4 mos. I seperated them and the one got better at using her box. This one well… I am going to place a 2nd litterbox in there and try to get her to use it instead of the paper on the bottom of her cage. With 2 litterboxes in there it might force her to use one of them. Hopefully.

Hi bunnytowne! Thank you for some advice. Yes I thought that might be it also. I have to wait for her appt first then they will make an appt for her neuter. Appt is next week. I took her to my vet here but she was not able to tell me if she was fixed yet so now I’m heading to larger hospital but they want an appt first. Wish I only knew this before. I had plans on having her fixed prior to my vacation but held off to be on the safe side so now I’m just waiting for the vet visit and go from there.

She was really good since I’ve found her earlier June. She peed on my bed only twice and that was right when I got her. I have a cat but she got along with her right away. Nothing new that has changed. I did put a lid on her litterbox but she was fine for a few weeks prior to this pee starting. How would I know if she has a bladder infection?? I do notice she hops into the box often but I also know she poos alot then bc I go and check when she hops back out.

Well today she was ok. No pees outside of box. I did move her litter box around yesterday over the where she peed and also took her blanket out which she peed on also. So this morning everything seemed fine. I’ll have to keep my eye on her today.

ps I do notice lately that she has been very dominent over her stuffed toy deer. She constantly licks it and humps it. More so than before. This may be a sign also she may not have been fixed.

Yes that humping sounds like hormonal behavior alright.  OH boy Bet you can’t wait to get her fixed. Mine is too young yet and I had to put 2 litterboxes in cause she pees on the other corner so I put a litterbox in both corners to get her to at least use 1 of them. Hopefully.  Yes they love to mark their territory.  If she had an infection she would be straining to peee. She sounds healthy and hormonal tho.

Well my bun is fixed but every once in a while, she just outright misses the box. ~_~ I wind up having to mop up after her.
Doesn’t sound like this is the case with your bun, but I thought I’d just add the thought.

Well so far so good. I took the lid off of her litter box and have not put in her blanket and she has been fine. I ‘ll have to see in a few more days. Her appt for the vet is this Saturday. Boy did that sneek up fast!
