Peeing on my pillow!!

Hello everyone! 

I have two very sweet female bunnies and I’ve had them for about 5 months now. I let them walk around in my room, but I’ve been reluctant about that lately because one of the bunnies (Venus) has peed on my pillow two days in a row! The first time it happened I threw the pillow in the washing machine immediately, but now Venus did it again. I don’t know what to do, they were potty trained from the start; this is new behavior. 

I’ve been reading some forums so I have gotten some more information, perhaps is has to do with the fact that Venus has come to like me/get to know me and she does it because my pillow smells so much like me? 

Venus is also definitely the dominant bunny of the two, is she maybe trying to dominate met too now? 

I don’t know what to do! I have a small room and my bed is very low, pretty much takes up most of the space. It’s almost impossible to not let them on my bed anymore.

Rabbits often love to pee on beds because they smell like human. Are your rabbits both fixed?
Could you remove the pillows when you are away? Do they pee on the rest of the bed too?

No, they both aren’t fixed. And i haven’t tested it out yet, this has only happened twice and so far it happened on the same pillow. I’m scared that if I remove the pillow she’ll just pee on the bed instead.

Bunnies are always more prone to mark on soft surfaces that smell like humans, but neutering should help a lot with the problem.
Are you planning to have them neutered? For females it is very important for their health to have them spayed

It’s a very common problem because your bed smells most like you so they will mark on the bed – even altered rabbits tend to do this. Some rabbits just cannot be trusted on the bed for this reason so it’s best not to allow them up there if they exhibit this kind of behavior. It’s not really a litter training problem either.
