We have had out bunny for about a week and a half now and he is great with me he and I have no issues, he is doing really well with his litter box, only time I m seeing poops is when we are down stairs and usually its a few on the blanket we have laid out for him (we have tile) he pees in his box and is doing really well with it. There is just one thing that is really puzzling me. He pees on my husband at least once every night and he doesnt do it to me. I could hold him for hours and he doesnt pee but my husband different story. Does any one have any idea why he could be doing this? he is only about 8 weeks old.

My rabbit panda reacted this way to my boyfriend, but only when he started to sexually mature. It actually can be a sign of bunny love. Two months seems kind of early on though. Hmmm.

He’s probably marking – neutering will help when he’s old enough and over time he should be better. Does the hubby have any scents on him that might be causing it? Cat, dog, etc? Maybe strange humans? Perhaps change clothes into something that smells familiar before handling the bun?

When I first got my bun he marked against my boyfriend like he would against another rabbit – spraying, droppings lining his desk area, etc. It was kind of funny, but got annoying too. He calmed down though.

my husband works at a pharmacy but he doesn’t handle the bunny until he has changed out of his work clothes. The only thing I can think of is the hamsters, we have 4 of them and they are my husband’s babies but I don’t think that he has handled them before the rabbit and he usually washes his hands after wards. other than them we don’t have any other pets and its just me and my husband. I just thought of something…could it be his cologne?

Any perfumes may trigger something in a rabbit to be naughty.

Could be. Any scent that he doesn’t like / doesn’t know would cause him to mark against it – and the hamsters scent may be on the clothes if he handles them. Washing hands is fine, but it doesn’t remove the scent from your clothing. Rabbits are very scent oriented… even walking in my females area (without touching her) causes my male to go nuts because the scent of her gets on my feet lol

I’d try no cologne and change clothes before handling and see if he still does it.
