Want to feed your bunny real papaya? If you can find it at the store, it’s generally a giant fruit and there’s no way you can feed it all before it turns bad.

I bought 5kg of papaya and phoned my bro (he’s a chef) to ask how I could preserve it.,,, I’ve been ‘serving it’ for months

Bring two cups of water with one spoon of sugar to a boil. Remove all the meat from the papaya. Put into freezer safe containers, and pour the water over the fruit-and freeeze. You can add a few drops of lemon to the water to preserve color.

To serve (and get rid of the sugar) put some papaya in a strainer and run under cold water!

My buns won’t eat papaya…well strike that, Pip will eat it but she doesn’t NEED it. *hefts giant bun*
But I do and I hate how green they are when they get here, and by the time they’ve ripened, about 15 minutes later they go bad.

This will be great! Thanks for the tip, K&K!

yup no worries, mangos are OK too, that may be what you bought? Mangos are a bit smaller, but a small papaya is fine too.

Angelina if your bun doesn’t have a sweet tooth that’s sooo fine! Means you won’t be guilted into giving her too many treats. Have you tried giving her the oxbow papaya tablets? Those are good for them too and she may like them. My buns have to be offered something a few times before they’ll eat-bunnies are picky eater-usually. But if she won’t eat fruits then I wouldn’t worry-hay and veggies are much better for them It’d be like worry because your kid doesn’t like chocolate bars heheh

Basil and oregano he loves.  he loves all greens and herbs. his sweets choices are apple and carrot. nothing else.
he goes crazy for cilantro, and dandelions.  Anything else he’s okay.  he loves his greens though he’s like a little puppy dog during feeding time he literally crawls up the gate for me to put the dish down. its cute.

Hmmm if it’s been a week then it’s probably fine I think you want to prevent running and jumping when they are medicated as they are not able to judge pain then and could tear something.
