This morning I was going to feed Panda and water him. I saw him hutched in the back of the cage, breathing, but he couldn’t lift his head up.
I called my dad into the room. I was already crying. I called every vet I could think of, but none were open on weekends. I knew I could do nothing, because he was already passing away. I just sat there and pet him knowing those would be his last moments. I just can’t believe that Panda isn’t with me anymore! I can’t face that. I feel so depressed.![]()
Now I don’t have anyone to cuddle, or give veggies, or watch do binkies….![]()

Binky away Panda♥
I’m so sorry Panda has gone.
At least you were able to be there with him in the last moments and he could feel you loved him as you said goodbye.
Big hugs to you. I’m sure he’s watching over you from across the Bridge.
OH NO! I’m so sorry! I’m having trouble believing this too
*hugs*
Binky free Panda!!
Nooo!! I’m so sorry
How long did you have him? Binky free Panda. He knows he was loved.
bunnyfriend: I didn’t even have him a year yet!! The vet said she thinks he had cancer :'(
Oh no
the same thing happened to my first bunny, I had him for a couple months and then he died suddenly of cancer. *hugs*
bunnyfriend: Awh! Really?! Thats so sad. I feel lost without Panda. I am so bored. I just cleaned out his toys! I am balling my head off
I can’t believe it. It happened so fast…
I’m so sorry. It’s always hard, but especially when it’s sudden like that.
Binky free Panda!
Thankyou Beka! And it sure is!~ Cancer in his bones was the diagnosis. I am still so shocked, yet theres a part of me that is so peaceful. Panda is in binky heaven right now, probably nibbling at the vines and berries on the tree of life ![]()
I’m so sorry ![]()
You were(are) such a good bunny parent. I am sure that his time with you was just wonderful, what every bunny wishes he or she had! I am glad to read that you are at peace with the loss of your bunny friend.
Binky free, sweet Panda! I’m so sorry for your loss, Pandorachik! Hugs and healing vibes to you in this terribly tough time.
I’m so very sorry to hear about your beautiful Panda. It’s so very hard to lose them and especially so suddenly. I’m sure you gave him great comfort in being with him during his last moments. And you gave him lots of love during his time with you. I’m sure he left you a happy bunny because he had a bunny Mom who loved him.
And I think, that when you are ready, Panda would want his place to go to somebunny in need.
(((((Binky Free Sweet Panda)))))
I am so sorry to hear about your loss
. Panda had a great owner and a great life.
((((((((((((Binky Free Panda))))))))))))))
Thankyou everyone!! I get so teary eyed reading these.
Oh no! I am sorry you lost Panda
it is so hard when it’s sudden like that. At least he was with you at the end and you know he is not suffering.
So sorry to hear of your loss.
Curious to know – if it was sudden and you called lots of vets and they were all closed for the weekend… How did you get a diagnosis that it was bone cancer if they were all closed?
Binky free little panda
Kafrn: My mom’s friend is a vet. My mom e-mailed her. She came and took a look. And thought that it was cancer.
Did she take any xrays or bloodwork? You can’t really diagnose cancer on a glance…
Sorry about Panda, but the only way to possibly know is with a necropsy and you sure wouldn’t know it’s bone cancer, that’s pretty random.

yeah.. the girl is a nut head…. I truthfully didnt think she knew what she was talking about. I don’t know much about rabbit illness. So I guess I kinda just believed her. lol. Maybe it could’ve been bone thinning? He seemed really week.
Oh no! Poor Panda! I’m so sorry you lost him. How old was Panda? I would think something else would be more likely. Did he seem sick at all? Could he have gotten into something that was poisonous? If he wasn’t very old, it could have been something genetic that was wrong with him.

Panda was estimated to be 5-6 years old. And he did not seem sick… I have brought him to the vet before.. I only had him since last August.
And he most likely didn’t I dont thik I have anything poisenous around the house…
Was he eating and pooping fine in the days beforehand?
Monkey: Yep! I don’t understand… I wonder what the problem was.. He drank well. I checked his poop. They were also normal
So sorry! Panda loved you and continues to, from across the rainbow bridge. He’ll lead you to a new somebunny to love in time. HEALING VIBES TO YOU!
I am so sorry to be seeing this for the first time and learning about your sweet Panda.
Since you only had him this past year and he was already several years old it does sound like he had a condition you could have done nothing about. It’s a shock, and bunnies can pass very quickly sometimes. What happened is that you made his last year full of love in a great home, letting him live in comfort and care. He is sending you love from over the Rainbow Bridge now.
If you ever have another bunny and find you need a vet on a weekend, you can try calling dog or cat vets. Usually they will take an emergency with any animal and do their best. From how fast Panda left you, I don’t think any vet would have made a difference. He died in his loving home instead.
I’m so sorry to hear about Panda. Binky free, little one!
I just saw this, I’m so sorry!!! I bet Panda found great comfort in you being there for him, hard as it was, it’s good you were there with him. I’m so sorry for your loss. Binky Free Panda
