Pacey has been moved to my room after the roof in his room decided to have a nice giant crack in it after a snow. He seems to enjoy it now that he can interact with the dogs and me more. But he does still try to get in his old room when he comes out for play time. Here is his new setup. Pardon the messy room. And no the wire behind and in front of his cage is no longer there.

One of my dogs Haven wondering why Pacey is in a cage lol

Oh, that’s great! I love the one where he’s sitting his little red cabana thing. Your dog is adorable too.

Out of curiosity, what is that cover over the litterbox? Does he feel more secure with it over the box, or is it just to hide it or does he go up on it and hang out?

BB…. i think that cover is actually a pet hammock… he probably hops from cardboard box to the hammock. that is an awesome use of space! the ONE unfortunate thing about xpens is that it’s sometimes difficult to make use of your vertical space… but you have that set-up very well! i bet he loves being able to be around you all the time! he’s such a cutie-patootie!

              Aren’t x-pens the best. He has a terrific set-up.

Haha, I love the pic of your puppy!! It’s like he’s saying “So when are you ungrounded so you can come out to play?”

Yep that is a hammock he has several around the house. He loves them I think it is the fact that he can see everything in the room from there lol. My dogs loved the fact that they could just go over and cuddle with him through the bars. And when he got his out time last night they were actually more calm than when I brought him from another room.

Oh, how neat – he’ll actually hang out on the hammock? For some reason I would think a bunny would not like that. I know my big bunny Jack may freak out about that, but maybe since your bunny is a little guy he has no problem with. I have to see a photo of him hanging out in it. How cute would that be?!

He definitely loves his hammocks. I took it out to fix one of the corners and he was up on his box like where did my hammock go??? That is his main spot in the pen I think if he didn’t need to eat he would spend all day in that thing.

Hey that is cool.  I wonder if Cotton would like one. I didn’t think rabbits would like hammocks.  That is so neat.

My friends that have indoor rabbits have started trying hammocks some love them some hate them and some will sit on them long enough to get a treat lol. I was just trying to give him more levels when he had his own room so I tied up and hammock and put a craisin in it he saw me put it there and hopped up in it to get the treat and wouldn’t get back down. At first I thought he was afraid so I picked him up and put him back on the floor but he hopped back up and flopped over lol.

I am in the process to making him a padded hammock to give it more stability when he hops off.

Jerselygirl – thanks for the link! Now I can see the bunny hammock in action. I am dumbfounded! I love learning something new and this is definitely new to me. Such cute pics of sonn84’s bun in the hammock!

i think like Sonn said, since not all buns would like it, anyone interested in trying a hammock might be better off making one out of some scrap material first. if the buns do in fact like it, then you could try to get something thicker, cushier, sturdier…

Absolutely. I would have hated to spent all that time making a pretty cushioned hammock for him to ignore it.
