› FORUM › RAINBOW BRIDGE › Pacey…
I haven’t been able to get onto BB in quite some time because of school. And it upsets me that this is my first post since.
Pacey is gone. I only had one class this morning and he was fine doing binkies and eating his food like always. I went to class and came home and he was still doing great and met me at the rabbit room door for his daily papaya tablet.
One of my dogs has been extremely ill so I went back into the living room to be with her and take care of her. I needed something out of the room so I went back about 4 hours after I got home and he was laying in the floor. I thought he was sleeping because he was just flopped over. But I knew something was really really wrong because Dini wouldn’t move from his side and that is very unlike Dini.
I can’t believe he is dead. I haven’t completely grasped it yet and I wish I could just pretend it isn’t happening…. ![]()
Oh Sonn, I’m so sorry. That makes me sad that Pacey is gone.
It’s hard when you don’t expect it and there is no sign and it happens alot. Hugs to you, it definitely hurts.
Oh no….. My heart about broke when I saw this
I am so sorry to hear!
Binky free, little Pacey. Watch over Dini and your mama from the other side of the Bridge.
We’ll all miss him terribly… he was such a little doll! ![]()
Thank you. I miss him terribly already. And I can’t get Dini to leave my bed.
Dini misses him too, and both of you need the company right now I think. Give him lots of snuggles for me! *hugs*
He is in my lap. He isn’t much of a lap bunny but he doesn’t seem to mind right now.
Oh my. I teared up seeing this. Words cannot express my sympathies.
Binky free Pacey
Sonn, I’m so sad to hear this. My heart truly goes out to you. I’m so sorry that you are dealing with this and that he passed so suddenly. It’s so hard to say goodbye to one we love so much.
(((Big Hugs to you and Dini)) I’m always here if you need someone to listen.
I was a big fan of Pacey. (((((Binky Free Little Pacey)))))) You will be missed.
Oh God, please, no… :'(
Sonn I am so terribly sorry, I have no words. I am just so very sorry to hear this about Pacey. :'(
I hope you and Dini can find comfort in one another. I will light a candle for Pacey. He is with Walter now. I know he will watch over you from the Bridge.
God bless you both. I will be thinking of and praying for you. (((((((((((((((((((((((Huge hugs))))))))))))))))))))))))) xxxx

No! Oh Sonn I’m heartbroken for you. I’m so sorry….
Pacey is much loved and will be missed. I still remember so clearly about how he came into your life.
He was with you too short a time but his impact will be lasting.
Sending a lot of Hugs.
Dini has come through a lot – he’s strong. (((Sonn & Dini)))
Sending {{{vibes}}} for you dog too.
Will be thinking of you.
Binky Free Precious Pacey! xxx
Sonn, I’m so sorry to hear about Pacey. What a shocking way to go. It’s very hard for both you and Dini.
Sending hugs and condolences to you both. ![]()
Thank you everyone for your very kind words. And for the candles.
Dini is doing as well as can be expected. He has taken to laying where Pacey died and refuses to move but he does accept treats and food.
I am doing ok. I am having a difficult time especially at treat time because Pacey would run circles around my feet when I shake the bottle. I miss that. And him putting his little paws on my shoulder when I sit down to give me kisses.
I was in the process of making my duo a trio with a bunny my boys met a few weeks ago and have been in contact with almost daily. But I think I am going to hold out on bringing another rabbit home for now. I was literally supposed to bring the bunny home tomorrow. Pacey and Dini had their last date Tuesday afternoon and I signed all of the paperwork. But at the moment every time I look at another rabbit I start sobbing.
I am still going to take Dini to interact with the bunny if he wants because I feel terribly guilty leaving him home alone since he was so dependent on Pacey. He is currently sitting in a carrier beside of me. I got permission from my professors to bring him in with me. I think he likes all of the attention he is getting.
Aww poor Dini. He must really miss his little pal.
I’m sorry Sonn. I saw your other thread, which led me here. It’s really sad when any pet dies, but to have it be so unexpected like that must be terrible. =(
Sonn, I am sorry to be reading this so late.I am so sad to read this. I always loved Pacey. Keeping you and Dini in my thoights
I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope Dini copes okay with the loss of his little pal. RIP Pacey, binky free little bun.
Dini is doing pretty well as long as he is not alone. When he is not with me he is hanging out with my friends rabbits or with the shelter bun I was going to adopt.
We are moving along even if we have our down days.
I’m glad to hear you both are hanging in there.
How many bunnies does your friend have?
Has anything progressed with the shelter bunny? Do you think you may eventually adopt him/her?
Thinking of you and sending (((((((((Hugs))))))))) xx
My friend has 4 rabbits. They pretty much instantly accept any rabbit that is in their house. So I take Dini over there while I am at school because he doesn’t like being alone at all.
I am planning to eventually adopt him. He’s a sweet little Mini Rex and by sweet I mean he is sweet to other rabbits he likes to bite people. Before Pacey died the three of them were like long lost friends. So I am keeping the connection between him and Dini so it will be easier to integrate him into my home once I adopt him.
Dini is doing well he still freaks out if he is alone so he now has a little sleeping area beside of my bed. He doesn’t sit in the spot that Pacey was found any longer but he has taken to avoiding all of the places that I guess still smell like Pacey.
Aww…a mini rex
Fiver is a mini rex. And I can attest that if he could get hold of my hands he would probably nip them on more than one occasion. Maybe it’s just a mini rex thing.
It sounds like Dini is progressing through his grief. That is a good thing. It’s wonderful that you have somewhere for him to be during the day, and with other rabbits. It’s probably helping him a lot more than he realizes.
Continued vibes that Dini will be doing better and better everyday. ((((((noserubs))))))
Sonn, I am late to this thread and I am sorry.
I’m very sad to hear your news but glad that Dini seems to be doing better – I’m thinking of you two.
