I got my bunnies new toys and when I got home I saw that there was fir in it. It’s the oxbow shake rattle and roll toy. Is it safe to give them?

Fir is safe unless it’s quite fresh and made into sawdust or similar. Fresh fir kan give off terpene-fumes. This is only a problem if you have lots of fir chopped up into small bits, like fir wood chips in a whole litter box, where they bun might sit and inhale the fumes for a prolonged amount  of time. Wood stove compressed pellets are kiln dried, so they’re OK. Toys and bunny furniture made of fir are ok because even if the bun chews them, the bun won’t be able to ingest any significant amount of the wood per day.

I have IKEA doll beds for my bun. She’s inherited them from other buns. She chews them, but its not like she eats a significant part of a whole doll bed in one sitting.
