I have an 11 week old and 13 week old buns. They are due their vaccs on tuesday. We’ve got a large run out the back that i really would like them to use but because they’ve not had their first vaccinations yet is this okay?

They are currently housed inside a large outbuilding with a run built in. But thats inside.

        Thanks in advance!!

Honestly I would wait until they are vaccinated and the vaccine has achieved coverage.
When my rabbit wasn’t covered I used to change clothes before even going into his room to make sure nothing from outside got in. They are super easy to spread and very resistant. Rhd is airborne , and myxo is transmitted through contact (if you walk in the area that a dog who has walked in an area with myxo, you can pass it to your rabbit)
Depending where you are you have higher or lower levels of risk. But the thing is they are very hard to detect diseases until it’s already too late to cure and the treatment is usually to just put the rabbit to sleep due to the diseases horrendous nature

Also it would be worth asking your vet for a wormer- mine gave me one that helps protect against EC as they do pick up nasty things from being outside!

I agree with Dface on the vaccinations. It’s not worth risking it in my opinion. The three diseases the vaccines cover are horrible. I don’t know if RHD is airborne or if it can become airborne like Hanta (virus particles in dried urine/feces), but all three diseases are spread by ticks and mosquitos, and this time of year, ticks are active even if mosquitos aren’t yet.
