I hope I didn’t make a mistake, but I decided to start Charlie on Orbax this morning.

The vet sent us home with a prescription to use if we needed it on Tuesday. She had been producing the yucky discharge for a few days and sneezing, then was getting better the day before her vet visit. Day of visit she was clear and no signs of anything.

So , Wednesday, Thursday no issues really. Friday night starts with some sneezing. Yesterday morning sneezing and a glob of yellow tinged mucous. Took her into bathroom with a steam for awhile. She was fine the rest of day. Not a sneeze or sniffle.

Last night sneezing again but no discharge. This morning started sneezing and sounded congested in nose, so back to steamy bathroom. She started sneezing and produced thick white discharge while in the steam. Not a huge amount, but enough to smear up the top of her nose and cheek some.

I’ve noticed she’d been shaking her head a bit yesterday and today she did right after a group of sneezes. That concerned me and I don’t want an ear infection starting.

We were trying to hold off on more antibiotics.  I’m kind of feeling she’s fighting whatever this is off on her own, but not enough to eradicate it.

I hope I did ok starting the Orbax. She hated it. The stuff is really bitter. Her other meds were sweet. It was tough getting it in her.
