            I am not certain that branches from citrus fruits can be given to rabbits. I have not seen it on any list and fear that the wood is too acidic. I know for certain that apple is O.K. as well as willow and fruits with a pit like plum, apricot and cherry must be aged, otherwise the wood is toxic to a rabbit. So personally, my suggestion is that while really cool that your guy took a whole tree down, is to avoid giving it to your rabbit.

              You’ve probably already disposed of all the branches right now, but…

              According to http://www.mybunny.com you can give them orange branches.
              “Some rabbit-safe chewables you may find in your yard:
              • Orange or lemon trees – branches may be fed fresh or dried
              • Apple trees – branches may be feed fresh or dried
              • Willow – branches may be fed fresh or dried
              • Maple, Ash and Pine trees – branches should be dried
              • Rose Canes – remove thorns, branches and leaves may be fed fresh or dried

              You may want to rinse the branches in water, or place in the freezer overnight to kill any bugs.”

              It was written by Dr. Sari Kanfer, who is a renowned rabbit vet over here, and works with many rabbit rescues, so I’d bet that she knows what she’s talking about.

                Yes, You can feed them to bunnies apple and orange branches are always at my petsmart. Just make sure there was no pesticides on the tree and sterilize them just in case. I forget how to do this but i think you boil them? You can also thoroughly rinse them off then place them in the freezer to kill any bugs. Good luck (;
