Hi. Yeehha! Little Puffy Tail is back! Missed yall!

Okay so I’m looking to change my bunses pellet brand (gradually). Right now they get alfalfa based pellets. Storm’s been eating this for 3 years. I want to switch to Timothy based. There is not much variety in my area (bunnies need big time publicity!!!).

Anyone use Martin Little Friends? I’m thinking about switching to that. There are two varieties though, Original and Less active adult. I’m not sure which ones I should go for? Any thoughtz?

I found the specs on that pellet, and the “less active” one looks to be acceptable for an adult bunny.  It is a little low on fiber and a little high i protein, and for some reason is made from timothy and alfalfa.  What do the experts think?

LITTLEPUFFY TAIL YOU’RE BACK!!!!! I MISSED YOU!!!!

I’m no “expert” for my neighbors to the North, but Illl offer up my advise. : ) I agree with Osprey, the protein does seem a bit high, however how is it compared to the brand you are already using?  The thing with the protein is that is may cause an over-production of cecal droppings and *might* cause poopybutt in sensitive buns.  Is your bun overweight at all?  This will all figure in whether it is really better for you to switch to this particular brand or not.

No my bunnies are at a pretty good weight I think. The only way I can tell if they are a good weight is by the look of them but they are neither bony nor chunky.

I’m going to check about comparing the two brands (my current and Martins) and see about the protein and fiber. I guess if the protein is about the same I should switch? Ill compare between the 2 diff types too, original and less active.
