Oh, I didn’t know you were selling your house!
And, do you have a backyard? You could put them in a pen there. Make sure that they have plenty of fresh water and hay if you do put them out there. ![]()
i do but people will be walking back there since that is where our shed is (big selling point) and or woods. I wouldn’t leave them outside unsupervised either
Can you take them where you are going and just keep them in their carrier with you?
Could you maybe go to a friends house and take them with?
I would take them with you. It’s safer than being in a pen outside by themselves.
Ok, then bring them with since people will be walking bakc there.
I forgot! I have my friends ice skating show during the open house. I can’t just leave them in the car!
when our condo was first put on the market,, all people that stopped in spent more time looking at our bunnies than they did the condo.
Do you have a friend or relative that could bunny sit them during the open house? That’s what I would do. Just drop off the buns and their pen.
Longhairmike: So far we have been lucky and every one who looks at our house has animals and likes them.
LPT: No I don’t.
I think I might see if I can go to the late night ice skating show and stay at our house during the open house and watch them play outside. It seems like the best option.
I’d just make sure the condo was very clean, then put up a sign that says “please don’t disturb the bunnies.” I’d make sure they had a quiet area to retreat into, like a cardboard box, or you could throw a blanket over half of the condo, so they can have privacy if they want it.
It’s Monday here. How’d it go?
RabbitPam: Last Sunday was just a couple looking at it. This weekend is the open house, the 17th. (yes I know that is a Saturday, I though the open house was on a Sunday but my mom said Sat, LOL whoops. Sunday is bunny day at WHRS! yay!)
Still haven’t decided what to do yet!
I hope I decide soon!
That’s too bad. Well, I actually think moving the condo is a lot of work and stress for you and them. Any chance of sliding the condo part way into a closet on the floor? Otherwise, I would leave them inside it and put a light sheet over the top (clamp to the sides for tightness) if you think it’s too messy to look at. (Maybe green for St. Patrick’s Day.) You could make a cute sign on a piece of paper that says “Hi, we’re bunnies, and we love this house. We think you will too!”
You could call your vet and ask if she’d board them for 3 hours, but it will come up again.
If the visitors don’t bother the bunnies, it’s usually a “look how cute!” reaction rather than disgust. Especially if there is no smell or scatter in your room. Just don’t allow any strangers to touch them either, without your supervision.
Thanks RabbitPam. I always cover their condo with a sheet when people look at the house (Mocha HATES strangers and can get very aggressive towards them) so that wont be a problem.
How’d it go? Did it go smoothly?
I was wondering the same thing! How did the open house go? Hopefully you have a buyer soon. It’s a beautiful house and property.
It is not until this Saturday. Not last. I will update when it is over though!
Our open house was today! It was kind of a disappointment and a wast of cleaning :-/ Only 4 people showed up and one of them showed up and hour early! We have someone else coming to look at it tomorrow. We have one person really interested in it but can’t find out from the bank until April if they can buy it. We are a little impatient as out last two houses sold within 2 weeks, but not all houses will.
Yeah in this market, it could take a looooong time to sell.
yeah. I just wish we could get it over with. Haha. Not that easy though!
Aww, that sucks that you got the house all ready and hardly anybody showed up. It’s true that the market isn’t very good right now, so I hope you guys are able to get a buyer soon!
Maybe someone can bunny – sit them.
