In his cage, he has a hay rack right above where his litter box is. He also has his water bottle over there, and his food bowl as well. He doesn’t leave his litter box when he is in his cage, most of the time. If he does he has a hard time getting a grip and slides around when he hops. I’m in the process of getting him some mats, usually used for hutches with wire bottoms but i’m hoping they give him some kind of grip.
He does leave his litter box though, but he still poops and pees where ever he wants. It puzzles me, to be honest. I’m still scooping the poop and cleaning the pee, but he has yet to get the hang of it. I’ve been doing this since February lol. (Any suggestions on this would be helpful, i feel like he is oddly resistant to training..)
He has also gone on an Orchard Grass Hay strike, which is always in his hay rack. I just threw out the hay that was in there a couple minutes ago because it had been sitting there for a week. But he has been attacking Alfalfa, its the only one i have that he’ll eat at the moment. Any insight on this would be appreciated as well, i’m still trying to figure out why he just stopped eating the Orchard hay.
