Today, I adopted a one month old lionhead. I was just curious if he eats lettuce at this age? I currently feed my other rabbit (3 year old dwarf/lionhead) pellets 2x a day, unlimited hay, and a bowl of romaine and either kale or spinach a day. Does a one month old rabbit eat the lettuce yet? Should he eat pellets twice a day? I just want to make sure, he’s so tiny!! We got him young rabbit pellets as well, how long should he eat these before he switches to regular pellets?? Thank you in advance for the help!! Also if anyone could answer this it’s much appreciated. Our 3 year old bun has not been fixed yet (male rabbit). I was wondering if there was any financial help to get him fixed? It seems to be around 200 dollars everywhere I have asked, and I have bad credit so I have no way to get a care credit card. Thank you for your help!

One month old is way to young for a bunny to leave its mother. Bunnies aren’t properly weaned at that age. They should be with their moms until they are 8 weeks old. Take him to a bunny savvy vet to see what he needs and to be evaluated for issues you may not be able to see. He should not be fed greens or anything sugary at this age. Greens at 12 weeks and sugar foods at 6 months. He may need to still be on some kind of milk to help him grow.

They told us he was one month or so so I’m just guessing on the age. Is there any way to tell for sure? They had him eating pellets where I got him
