Hi everybody!!
This is finsNpaws, the one who posted about one of my rabbits being scared of the other. I know I used a different account for that post, but that doesn’t really matter right now.
Now that Eliza and Beethoven are pretty much best buds, we’ve moved on to new problems. Yay!
So here’s the deal:
Beethoven is not a rabbit. He is not a bunny or a hare or any other name for a rabbit. No, the creature I adopted from the shelter last week is a complete. And. Total.
HOG!!!!!!!
Every time I put fresh vegetables in the buns’ food bowl, Beethoven hops on over and gobbles them all up. By the time Eliza has put two and two together, the cilantro or Romaine lettuce or whatever is gone. I tried putting some in her little box/den, where she spends a lot of her time, but she doesn’t eat it then. She’s only interested in food from the food bowl, or the hay feeder over her litter box.
So what do I do, guys?? I don’t have any other bowls heavy enough for the rabbits to be unable to knock them over: should I buy a second food bowl? I feel like Beethoven would just hog food from both bowls, and therefore double in size, or something. I don’t have any more ideas. I don’t think it’s okay for Beethoven to eat the vegetables meant for TWO rabbits! Any help would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks,
finsNpaws
