okay  so baxter always goes under the couch  and hes not alloud under there so i usually tilt back the couch  and get him out. so i thought he went under but  i tilted up the couch and i didnt see him. so i put the couch back down  and i hear like this kicking sound so i lifted it back up and the base bar of the couch was on top of him. so i lifted it up and he went flying out and he looked really uneasy  and dissy cause he was wooblling and kept running away from me  so he ran to the corner and  then i slowy approached him  and sarted to pet him  and he let me so i felt around his body  to seee if like a bone felt like it was out of place but there wasnt any or any area that i touched that he reacted to  i also gave him a bannana slice and he ate it. is he  hurt or just scared he lieng down right now. and seems scared. I feel so bad that he might be hurt  plz help me!!

How is Baxter doing now?  If he is acting at all sore or not himself he should be seen by an emergency vet- the sooner any possible spinal injuries are treated the better.  Keep an eye on him sometimes animals can feel worse 24-48 hours after the injury- just like with us humans with bruising, etc.

Oh no poor Baxter! KatnipCrzy’s the expert, but if it were me, I’d absolutely take him to the vet first thing tomorrow morning, if not now!

OH no! I am so sorry! How scary! I hope he will be okay, but unfortunately only a vet will be able to tell you what’s going on for sure. I also double triple ditto a vet should see him asap. Please keep us updated. HUGS to you, I know this has got to be scary.

I’m so sorry to hear what happened – bunnies are so quiet and so good at hiding that things like this can happen from time to time, so don’t beat yourself up over it. How is Baxter doing today? It sounds promising that he was able to eat a banana slice, but it is important to get him to the vet because rabbits hide their injuries so well.

O my goodness! I feel so sorry for him! {{{{{{{{{{Baxter}}}}}}}}}} What I would do is let him rest and give him some treats such as strawberries of grapes. Let him be and he’ll be fine. My bunny got injured from a bunny leash. He sat in his cage for THREE days. We hand fed him and gave him good treats. At the third day, we decided to take him out. he moved slowly but he moved! I suggest that for today, you leave him be and tomorrow start to gain his trust by hand-feeding him as I did. Also, listen to any noises he makes if it sounds bad, tell us and immediatly go to the vet or vise-versa. Be sure to make him feel that he is in a safe place and he won’t be hurt. Well that was my advice!

hi sorry i havent been on for a while, hes ok now. at first he was really dissy as i said so i let him be but i thought he might feel safest in his cage so i put him in their and let him be but checked him every few mins cause i was really worried . so the next day i brought him out and he seemed likke very cautious of every thing and like he didnt trust anyone and didnt feel safe which is totaly not him cause hes usually so laid back and happy so its been awhile since then and hes fine not really as comfortable as he was but hes coming back out of the cautiosnous, but hes pulled some binkies and zooms since then so im pretty sure hes just a little timid its like he turned back to when we first brought him home and hes still trying to adapt to a new family, if you know what i meen. but all is well and thanks for the support and help

You must be very glad he came up ok – a fright for you both. Thanks for the update. He probably was shocked more than anything and overly cautious the next day. Lots of time down there with him, giving head pet would bring him round. Happy to hear he’s good!
