And it’s not at the rabbits.  It’s at the stupid Le Bistro waterer I bought.  This what i got – http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp

I have dumped water all over their pen area TWICE now trying to fill this damn thing up.  Mine is the smaller one and is beige in color.  The stupid lid comes OFF so water drips if I try to fill it then attach the bottle to the base.  But what’s even more stupid is that all that happens is that the water drains to the base and proceeds to OVERFLOW.     I am so freaking disappointed and feel completely stupid.  Am I being completely stupid?   Is there some unknown trick to these?  Cause God knows they didn’t provide any instructions for the dumbies like me.   AHHHHHH

And since I pissed off, I think I will just copy Barbie and get a smallish caserrole dish or even a smallish pyrex dish and use that. HAs to be cheaper than the other stupid water bistro things. And the stupidest thing, I have NEVER been this mad over a product in such a long time either. It’s like it’s completely useless cause either way you try to fill it, it’s going to overflow and leak all over. Unless I’m stupid.

I have one of those and I have never had a problem with it, it has never overflowed or leaked. Maybe you got a bad one, but I love mine! This is the one I have:

Could you have gotten a feeder one by mistake? I did that at first when I bought mine. I picked up a feeder one that didn’t have the water spout in the bottom. I have the third waterer on that website page.

Does yours have a lid on top? If yes, you got the feeder one, no the water one

If you did, that is the only way it would overflow. In my picture you can see the little spout in the bottom. Maybe it is time for a trip to the store to exchange!

That is how I made the mistake the first time. I thought “ooh a lid one!” and was on the way home when I noticed it said feeder on the bottom paper.

So…my receipt says cat waterer, but it’s definitely a feeder.  If I would’ve looked close enough, I would’ve seen the little kibbles on the label.    God, how dumb am I.  At least I know I wasn’t stupid when I tried putting water in it.  lol  Actually it didn’t occur to me that there would be a difference between the feeder and waterer for some reason.  Well…all the pics online seem to be of the same thing.  Sigh.  I still might go with a pyrex bowl or cassarole dish.  I dunno.

They haven’t tipped it over yet. I am switching them from a leaky bottle to a bowl. But I was using one of their feeding crocks as their water dish. And it’s fine for when I’m home all day cause I can refill it as needed. But it won’t work once I go back to work.

Ok….now that I feel stupid…..I was seriously pissed off tonite. I got water all over the place on their rug. I ended up moving their stuff and then putting the rug out on my balcony railing to get it to dry. And I have a fan blowing on their area cause the carpet underneath was damp. What I thought would be simple turned out to be a huge mistake and mess. lol And the poor rabbits don’t like the wet rug naturally so I was trying to blot and found a blanket to make a dry path for them to their litterbox and cardboard box. that’s when I said to hell with it and moved the rug outside. lol So yeah, it’s been an event couple of hours. haha And I couldn’t yell and throw things like I wanted cause it would’ve scared the buns. Sigh.

I’m sorry you were frustrated (altho I have to admit I giggled when it was discovered you got the feeder instead… that sounds like something I would do!) At least your mistake was discovered before you went into the pet supply store and demanded a refund because of the “faulty product”!

Well the feeder is going back and I found a smallish pyrex bowl that I don’t think they’ll manage to tip over unless one hops in it.

I have several le bistros’-in all different sizes, for the dog and the bunnies-and yeah I’ve bought two ‘feeders’ and thrown a total fit when it overflowed… rofl -ahhhh we need to read labels when shopping.

Well now I don’t feel like such an idiot. lol And I went and checked all the labels. Seriously – the only indication that it’s a feeder is the kibble on the label. And like I said, it even rang up on my receipt as a waterer so if you had no clue what you were looking (aka ME), you wouldn’t know the difference.

As for them tipping the pyrex bowl over….looks like it’s ME slopping water all over the place. Sigh. I can’t win. lol But no more leaky water bottle.

I know!!! DAve made such fun of me, when I was pitching a fit and whining about it lol -he’s lke ‘uh it’s a food bowl idjit’ :p but yeah they have them in the same spot as the waterers-how is one to know!!!???
