Olly and gifts.

I went shopping yesterday and bought Easter Eggs and chocolate hearts, what I do is sit in Olly’s pen with him and let him choose, I say the name of the person and he will reach up and touch which present should go to who, there are things for Olly too, so I played a trick on him, I said. “What shall we give the Fathers at church?.” I held up a bag of hay and a bag of sweets, he touched the bag of hay, I laughed and stroked him, then said I think they will like the sweets, I said. “OK, lets have a look what we can send to our friend in the big city.” He was not happy with me showing him a bag of sweets and a chocolate bar, so he went to the box, tipped it over and pushed towards me the big Easter Egg and big Chocolate heart, he climbed on my knee and licked my chin, I said he was a good boy and gave him a treat, he went over to the gift bags and dragged over a big green bag, I still have my friend’s Christmas present here and when I phone my friend Olly (If he is out of the pen) will go over to the gifts and push them over to me, I have seen this behaviour in dogs but never rabbits, is Olly more intelligent than I think?

He sounds SUPER smart. That is so funny how he does that! What kind is he? And how old? And what’d you give him as a gift?

Olly is an otter rex lion head, 3 years old and his birthday is the same day as mine, 18th December, he was ill treated by his last owners but has calmed down and is the most amazing friend.
