Ok, so I decided after much thinking, and waiting, and thinking and waiting… etc, etc. To go ahead today and give Oliver some of the green leaf lettuce out of Oreo’s Spring Mix, well he ate it….ALL (only 1 sprig but still!)   So basically, he really liked it, so do I give it to him everyday now? How much? When should I start him on something different? What should I give him next? Is there anything I should look for to make sure he’s not having problems digesting it? Thanks for all the help ladies!!! I was so excited when I saw it was gone!!

I would continue with this for awhile and see how he does. Give it everyday – maybe a generous handful. I would do one veggie at a time – I don’t know there’s any set time – maybe a week and then try something else.

Yay! No struggle to get the new guy to eat veggies. I guess we’re supposed to give them the same thing for about a week, then start trying new ones, one at a time. Freya gets romaine lettuce and cabbage. I went out last night and picked up 2 brussel sprouts to see if she likes them. She also got some strawberry tops last weekend, I made some shortcake and maybe I shouldn’t have but couldn’t resist giving her a little treat. She wasn’t impressed, but ate them anyway. I suppose I’d just go with whatever you commonly have around, if you keep fresh veggies around, that’s safe for him. (Says the person going out late to buy brussel sprouts.)

LOL, yeah, I’m thinking about starting a garden in my backyard for the buns, having 3 around could get pricey for me, I like my veggies Organic, and so does my oldest bun, Can’t believe it, a bun who went from nothing but crappy walmart pellet, to a bun who can tell the obvious difference between Organic Spring mix, and NON-Organic spring mix. He actually refused the non-organic,—the only reason I bought it was because my produce store was out of the spring mix, but walmart carried the same thing, only it wasn’t organic, I thought well he won’t know the difference…. WRONG!!! He wouldn’t eat it…period!!! I think he’s starting to be picky about his hay now too, because I’m mixing the free hay I got from the pet store owner… (see my post that says “HELP!”) with my BB.com hay, and I’ve noticed him throwing some out of the bin, and out of his litter box too…. Funny thing about him though…. (slightly off topic) he shows NO interest in the new baby at all, I was going to put them in separate ends of the house, but he could have cared less about him, so I put the cages together, but left a big gap between them, and attached cardboard to Olivers cage so they could have some privacy.. (lol) anyway… So back on topic… I’m going to give Oliver some more leaf lettuce when I give Oreo dinner… Which will be early because we are going to pick up my step daughter tonight when hubby gets off work. I hope he eats it as good as he did this morning, I’ve been checking his poop every couple hours too, to make sure we don’t have any poopy butts! LOL
