I know I’m not supposed to really understand the little critter (keeping us off-balance is the surest way to obtaining World Domination, in her mind), but one day?  Nicest bun in the world.  Cute.  Cuddly.  PetmepetmepetmePETME!!!!  Next day?  “What can I chew on that I’m not supposed to?  You, there!  You’re not allowed to touch ME!!!  And YOU!  Yeah, you!  Yeah, I’m gonna chew a hole in your sock.  While you’re wearing it.  Whaddya gonna do about it??!??”

Normal bun behavior (if there is such a thing)?  Possessed by demons?  Just having a “moment”?  And why, after all that, do I still find her so utterly enchanting?  As does Mike, thank heavens!

(And the whole World Domination thing?  Yeah, she is totally planning on that with the fish, though I don’t think the fish is going to last very long after the two of them take over, if you know what I mean.)

LOL Check your long distance bill-she may be in cohoots with Markus’s Maryann-she too is planning world domination

I can’t remember if she’s spayed? If she’s not, it could be fluctuating horomones…If she is, perhaps it’s different times of the day-like when she’s energetic she acts naughty.

She was a foundling, so I don’t know if she’s “intact” or not.  We never get much in the way of aggression, no thumping, snorting, charging and only two nips (both Mike, poor guy!) –  just a day (or, more usually, half a day) of “I’m going to do everything in my cute little bunny power to make you abso-fo-lutely bonkers.  BWAHAHAHAAHA!”  Then, in the evening on those days, back to “Look!  I’m soft and oh-so-pettable!”  Other days, she’s Little Miss Sweet right from the get-go.  You likely right on it being time of day related.  Maybe it’s like the naughty kid let out at recess–let’s see how much heck I can cause!  (And maybe I should stop saying, “Cry ‘Havoc’! and let slip the bunnies of war….” when I let her out in the morning.)

Personally, I think she’s hoping to get us committed so that she can inherit.  And I’ll be checking the phone bill…………

yes. it sounds like two parts bunny hormones, one part just general bunny behavior. she should be a bit more predictable after the spay.

I’ve always said that a bunny is not unlike a child. Sophie is perfectly behaved outside her cage, she is mostly free range, until i get on the phone. Then, watch out! She goes for wires, pullling up at the carpeting, zooming around the living room and scratching at my legs wanted to be picked up and pet. She’s perfectly fine when it’s just the two of us, but when the boyfriend is over or I am on the phone, I am dealing with a very VERY bratty bunny.
