so last nite I got to finish puffs nails.  I have a time getting her to stay on her back. phew. when she finally stayed I got the front feet nails. I cut 1 too short tho and felt terrible. she finally quit wrigging so I could finish. then when done I held her and she groomed me. awe. such a forgiving girl she is. I am glad Ruby came with he baby nails already trimmed.

Good going BT! I wish I could do my buns nails, any of them. Right now I rotate them in and out of the vet.

That’s sweet she groomed you after you were through. I bathed my rex Lola again last night for poopy butt and while she tolerates it pretty well, she does manage to get in a serious nip both just before and after the tub. Then during the toweling she forgives me and wants to play.

That reminds me, Coco needs his done too. He does not mind being picked up for transfers but does mind being held. I tried once but it did not work. His nails are dark to so I’ll have to be extra cautious. That is sweet that she groomed you back. (smile)

Your lucky to have such a good girl! Olivia was really good the first time I did hers but she was so still because she was new and terrified. Now she won’t hold still. I have to try the two-man approach tonight.

Thats great that you got your bunny’s nails done! All 7 of mine need a nail trim…we have to have grooming “hour” which usually lasts about 4 hours to get them all trimmed and brushed – they all despise every minute of it and I get ZERO grooms at the end – I’m jealous bunnytowne!

                  Bunnytowne I’m jealous.

Trimming Spockies nails usually took about 4 days.
I’d let him out, I’d get the nail scissors. He’d see them and run away.
I’d put them on a table. He came back. I’d get them, he’d run.
He’d avoid me for the next several hours. And every day the scissors were within sight.
My brother refused to hold him in a burrito because he didn’t want Spockie to associate him with something he hated.
I’d catch him about the 4th day.
Get two front paws done – he’d slip away.
Get a friend to hold the burrito.
                  Do back legs.
                  I was exhausted.
When I was just too tired some weeks I’d give up and pay the $12 to the vet. Who always clipped all 4 paws on the first try. No squirming at all.
                  Good times.

i take Mead to the vet and the tech always says (as she effortlessly clips her nails!), “oh she’s so good! she lets me clip her nails without a fuss!”

i just snicker… uh why do you think i’m taking her HERE!? i can’t do THIS at HOME!!!

Hahaha – Henri always has to go to a stranger to get his nails clipped because he will NOT under any circumstance allow me to do it. At first, in order to do them, Brian would suit up in a long sleeve shirt and pants, and then struggle for about 25 minutes straight to pick up Henri and get him on his back!

You are lucky your bunny loves you. My bunny lets me do her nails but never shows me any love. Last night I saw her do her first binky so I guess she is happy. I built her a new big cage and she has made it really messy. What kind of bunny is yours. I have seen those little ones with the short ears but did not know what they were called. Do you have your bunny’s altered. I have not done this yet and really didn’t want to but it sound likes everyone who knows bunnies says I should.

the one on my avatar is cotton a lionhead   I have a pedigree lionhead girl 10 weeks and an english angora 10 weeks. the baby lionhead was already trimmed when she came home but the english I did 2 hind feet last week and the front 2 recently ahaahaa yes took some time. Puff the angora is learning to sit still for her grooming and fusses a little when on her back. I had to do the burrito and finally she stayed still. I should ask hubby for help too. oh my nails again. hmmm. I am considering taking them to the vet the 2 girls for nail trims. but I like to do things myself. cotton is ok with it. Laith was really ok with it. he would sit still and I would do the front and back while he sat still. awe. he was sweet very intelligent too.these 3 well cotton I had for just over a year so he knows he can’t get out of it. already.  from past experience so he just behaves
