Yeah, I was thinking that, “Wow, now this one is ‘showcased’, so to speak, so hopefully someone good for bunnies will come along and give this little cutie a home. I see an awful lot of rowdy kids go in there with their parents though, and I just get heartsick thinking that some dumb grown-up will cave and give their kid a bun just to shut him up…bad for kid and VERY bad for bun!
I whispered to the little dutchie before I left the store though, “Bye for now sweetie, I hope you find an awesome home!” It just kind of looked at me through sleepy eyes…totally touching! ^_^ I would completely vote for you to pick it up, rabbitpam, if you were anywhere near me!
As far as education, I think most people who work for this store need to get a general one first. I don’t think most of them can spell their own name with their eyes closed much less understand how to properly care for this poor creature until it is rescued. I have tried. You can see it just gets tuned out.
Plus, this was the store that I posted about that grooms the animals, and there was that bratty little kid in line who was kicking the cat in it’s carrier around at the check-out line and the mom was just blatantly ignoring the whole thing. I was so stunned I couldn’t think of anything smart to say to take her and her brat down a peg or two.
I had to go in there though, as I needed a spare bale of timmy hay to hold the buns over till my next BinkyBox arrives. They sell the pellets, but not the hay at my grocery store, so….
And talk about poor living conditions for ferrets! *cries* Good grief they’re packed into one of those snake tanks like sardines! I feel so sorry for them!
Thank God there’s no puppies or kitties there, I already have a hard enough time holding my temper.
