This one is off subject but gosh dont’ you just love the scary movies around this time of year. Sci Fi and USA and etc etc etc I can hardly make up my mind.
I love scarry movies. I think 75% of my DVD collection are scarry movies. My favorite is Nightmare on Elm St.
Love them too!! EVen goofy terrible scary movies…just love being scared and trying to figure out the endings ![]()
I like a scary movie now and then but I’m kind of sick of the old ones. My bf is REALLY into old horror movies, everything from the 1920’s silent flicks to the Vincent Price classics to the super cheeze slasher pics of the 80’s and 90’s. We have hundreds. Nothing can really scare me anymore (except movies about ghosts and hauntings…brrrrrr). Slasher pics are sooooooo predictable: If you see her boobs, she’s gonna die….lol
What really drives me crazy is when the most obnoxious character – LIVES.
So not fair!
Ooo, I can’t watch scary movies. Or gore. I curl up in a little ball and wait for someone to tell me when it’s over! The BF doesn’t even bother trying to get me to one…he knows he’s on his own!
If I’m watching a horror and an animal gets killed I immediately shut it off! It makes me so mad!
LPT – you should check out “Night of the Lepus” the bunny’s get their revenge!
Really? I never heard of that movie. Is it new?
I like suspensful movies but the blood and guts horror movies really aren’t my thing.
And if there is animals getting hurt/killed I absolutely can not watch it.
Yeah Sci Fi has been playing so many reruns ukh. However during this month I see variety.
Night of the Lepus I believe the rabbits are overgrown and big. They come in a huge warren and get the people.
I love Vincent Price movies Hilarious. The 1920’s silent ones I cannot do. The fav’s are werewolfe ones. I saw this one where this guy had an eye replaced and it belonged to a werewolf unknowingly. Was pretty good. The old black n white werewolf ones are hilariou.s
I dont’ care for the Ring. There was one called Rotweiller I saw part of it. It was on late and i was tired so I went to bed. Sorry I did for I have never found that movie agian on SCi Fi or USA or TNT doggoneit.
Am steaming tho cause last week n this week TV guide says ER on at such time same one too Pratt going to Darfur. Well the tv guide is wrong. They put that dumb ol 24 on instead. GRRRR. I really want to see that episode too.
nope… don’t do scary movies either. too chicken. but i think people who like a good scary movie are kool
lightcheck, I’m the same way. No gore. No hint of gore. Even Al Gore’s name….LOL.
Seriously, I LOVE themes with the occult, phychic phenom., witchcraft, etc. Halloween topics.
Practical Magic – the absolute best, followed by Witches of Eastwick.
And BT, I really do love the old B&W movies that Vincent Price made,(The Fly – “Help me! Help me!”) most versions of Dracula, Werewolf movies, and even found An American Werewolf in London was very good.
But the exception to my no gore rule is the classic, ultimate fish story, Jaws. I can watch that a hundred times – and do since it’s rerun on TV constantly.
Puffy me too!! The only one I could handle was dean koontz movie ‘phantoms’ but it was because I knew it wasn’t a dog and it really didn’t get hurt. Actually if I even see an animal in a scary film and get the feeling something might happen it gets turned off. I absolutely can’t handle it. People getting hurt no prob LOL!!
Pam-I love witches of eastwick-i was just telling my bf while watching the sex and the city movie that sarah was in that movie and it was actually a really good film! He’s never seen it so….
Oh, yeah, I can watch people getting hacked left and right but if a doggy gets in the mix it gets shut off. I guess that’s kind of terrible…lol
One of my fave movies, Tristan and Isolde, starts with a kid walking down the path with a rabbit he killed, I always fastforward past that part. It just bothers me too much.
k&K,
Actually, (embarrassed at useless amount of trivia knowledge) Sarah Jessica Parker wasn’t in W. of Eastwick. It was Cher, Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfeifer with Jack Nicholson. But get your BF to see it anyway. ![]()
A great Sarah movie was one of her earliest, L.A. Story, with Steve Martin. She bounces. You have to see it to know what I mean. It’s really fun in a Hollywood mystical way too.
Oh, I love witch or vampire or any of THOSE movies! I’m even okay with the occassional ghost movie, but most scary movies involve blood, which I can’t do…
Although White Noise and The Ring didn’t involve blood, and weren’t particularly good movies (in the case of White Noise, I would say that it was flat-out bad) and they gave (give?) me nightmares…
Never mind. I should stick to chick-flicks and Harry Potter. ![]()
The Ring gave me nightmares too. When she’s crawling out of the tv…shudder. We went to see that at the movies really late one night and then my bf had to go work the night shift. I couldn’t sleep, kept keeping one eye on the tv…
I also LOVE vampires!!! I sort of have a crush on any vampire with long hair…I’m a huge Anne Rice fan and I love any vampire flick.
