        Off Topic:

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote that I had taken a pregnancy test and it was positive.  I went to the Dr. today, and I am about 7 weeks along. My due date is for January 15.  That is cool.  My birthday is in January, so I’m happy.  I’d be happy even if it wasn’t lol.

        On Topic:

Today, when I was filling out paperwork, I had to check if I had a cat, bird, or changed litter.  I checked no for cat and bird, but checked yes for litter.  I also stated that I had a house bunny.  No problem there. Then  the Dr. was talking about diet.  She told me to stay away from a lot of bananas, raisins, and carrots because of the sugar content.  I said no problem. My bunny has to, so I guess I’m on a bunny diet.  She said yes, but add protein.  She was surprised that bunnies couldn’t have a lot of carrots because of the popular stereo type, so I taught my dr. something new too. hee hee.

        Have a great day.

            Congrats!!!

I’m pretty sure there is something in those nasty clay based cat litters ??? – or is it in the cat poop itself ??? – that is really really bad for expectant mothers to be breathing in.

But bunny poop & litter is a whole different ball game – I have never heard of there being any problem with pregnant women & Bunnys – so you should be good to go!

Congratulations!  Docs ask about  litter boxes because of fears about Toxoplasmosis, which can be spread by cat feces.

hahahaha!!! that’s so funny. the bunny diet! i think we’d all be in better health if we followed the bunny diet… but add protein.

and congrats again about the new addition. even tho you took the pregnancy test, actually GOING TO THE DOCTOR makes it sooo…. real.

Congratulations! Do you want to know the gender ahead of time?

Like I told my hubby, becoming pregnant was a surprise enough. I want to know the gender. I don’t care what I have, but I still want to know what to prepare for.

Congrats! I am sooo happy for you!!! I too would want to know the gender because I would LOVE to decorate and paint a baby room themed for a boy or girl rather than the “gender neutral” rooms a lot of people do.

i work in the baby retail business and it’s about 50/50 those who find out the sex and those who don’t. i would have gone nuts not knowing… it seems like January is so far away, but it will be here before you know it!

Congratulations! Whoohoo! I too would want to know the gender. I don’t think I could stand not knowing for sure. But I could also see how some might like the surprise.

oooo i’m so excited for you

very cute that you taught your doc some thing new… lol.  carrots & buns is such a huge misconception.  everyone i tell that is always surprised.  i’ve been on a bunny diet to try to slim down for a bridesmaid dress.   lots-o-greens.  i get comments from the checkout people at the grocery about all the greens i get for all of us

Yeah, Last time we were at the grocer, the check out lady was like how’s the bunny? I said she’s good, but now this is for us too. Hee hee
Everyone is telling me I’ll have a girl because that is all we have in our family. My brother has four girls, my sister has one, my hubby had two from a previous marriage. I said I may, but I”m an odd ball enough that I might just have a boy.

i wanted a girl badly! my husband has a boy from a previous relationship, and i was more than a little disappointed when i heard “boy”. i’ll even admit i entered a bit of a depression. it sounds so bad to say that b/c you’re supposed to say “as long as it’s healthy, blah, blah, blah”… but i was upset. we had agreed we were only having one child, so it was my one and only shot. now, i could not imagine having a girl! i love him so much and i see other people i know with girls and they are so prissy… not really my thing as i’ve always been a bit of a tomboy myself.

and besides, i have a girl!

<————————- a beautiful, furry, snuggly baby girl.

aw thats so honest beka, it kinda bugs me a little to hear people say ‘as long as its healthy’ because i know they dont really mean it, everyone wants a healthy baby of course but everyone still has a preference between boy and girl
