It’s the first day of October! Time for a new bunny picture topic.
I went to the fair recently, and they had tons of bunnies that were being shown!
The ones that weren’t being shown at the time were in a bunch of little cages. It was kind of sad, and I hope they live in better environment at home. I looked around and found some bunnies that looked like bunnies here on binkybunny!
Sterling:
A ton of Olaf clones:
And a female Breintje!
Also, even though she in not a bunny, Eevie is enjoying the cool weather and I got an adorable pic of her I want to share. Lol
Home-grown nom-noms, grown using compost from the soiled hay
You guys! My baby before babies has turned 4! Hoppy Birthday, Bam! He enjoys spending a large portion of his day being a lump under the desk when not begging for my 2 year old’s berries lol!
Haha, happy to see that Eevie got a promotion to branch manager And that girl surely looks a lot like Breintje, love those cinnamon colours!
@GJ: home-grown things are just the best! Bon appétit!
@NBO: happy hoppy birthday
Awww……I can’t go to county fairs anymore because of the bunnies and other animals. Not treated to my standards.
What a feast? Do they supply manure fertilizer too? Eat, poop, grow, repeat.
Hoppy Birthday, Bam!!!!
Bindi looking grumpy after his spot bath and blow dry last night. This is as clean as he gets and he won’t stay that way for long.
Yep, everybunny and Latte’s poops all go in the compost too, recycling at its finest
the kale is coming along ok too, though the sprouting broccoli is what they are all tucking into for now
Haha, it’s between 10 and 11 in the evening here and this means cuddle time. I’m behind the computer which means that I’m not ready on the couch to pet Breintje yet. Subtle as he is, he is staring at me from the couch now, giving off ever so slight hints about my schedule error. Well, I’d best be off, the master has summoned me
I made a Peeps diorama for an Easter contest this past spring. My entry was “The Chronicles of Peepnia”. In case you arn’t familiar, Peeps are marshmallows covered in neon sugar, generally shaped like chicks and bunnies.
Sadly, Olaf was not kind to Mr. Tumnus.
The face of a murderer.
Bwahaha, he doesn’t even look sorry But you can’t get angry at someone with a face like that, just look at him
It reminded me of this:
Your photos of Olaf make me laugh out loud !!!
Perfectly unproportioned !!
Ellie – Ha! I love that. Poor Tumnus.
Vienna – Yay! He always seems to be lurking around. :]
Olaf’s face is hilarious, he has no regrets! Poor peeps
Hoppy belated birthday, Bam! Still rocking those gorgeous eyes, I see.
Olaf, you slay me, Sir. (And apparently Mr Tumnus, as well. lol)
Breintjes nose is a proximity indicator for nommies: the closer the noms, the faster he sniffles. This afternoon I ate a mandarin, and he was all over me: begging and too eager to wait until I had finished peeling it. I managed to snap a quick film clip of it with my spudPhone. (There is an odd light change in the middle of the clip, this has something to do with my phone camera. No clue why…)
I really love how his nose goes frantic in the last couple of seconds. Target locked, engage maximum sniffles!

Loving all the pictures, guys!
Moscar checking out the new hay bale. They came to different conclusions about the quality.
Skeeter getting his dinner!
New custom helmet finally complete! Sprocket was a paid in apple for his fantastic modelling!
@ Ellie. I wasn’t able to find the video. : (
@ Hazel, Wow, I love your pics. Such good skills at capturing fleeting moments. More, more pls.
@ Rookie, very cool. Loving the Sprocket and Rookie cameos. So you did this??!! And excuse me if I sound clueless but is this a bob sled or luge helmet?
So last night it appeared Potamus was getting a start on putting up her Halloween decorations..
It is actually a motorcycle helmet. I designed it but I had an artist paint brush it and make it reality.
I was looking for a nice way to honor Rookie and I often wish Sprocket could be a pocket bunny so I can take him with everywhere I go…so this way I have them both with me at least when I’m on the bike.
I already have stickers on the bike for both and have stickers coming for the car.
It was the Olympic rings that threw me.
It is a nice way to honour Rookie. It looks great!
Gorgeous pics Hazel!
And that’s a very nice helmet design. Love the bunny theme ^_^
@jersey: the site isn’t programmed very well. You’ll need Flash 9 installed, which isn’t standard anymore in most browsers. Of course, a properly programmed website would display this clearly :/
Probably you’re seeing a row of pictures with above it in very small print a line saying you need to have Flash 9 installed to watch the video. That link installs it for you, and then the video will appear when you restart your browser.
Cool pics, ladies!
JG – O…M…G…please tell me that “halloween decoration” is fake?!
Haha, I suspect it’s a real one. That’s also the reason why Bas refuses to travel to Australia. I’d love to go there because I heard it’s a true paradise for people with gluten intolerances. Bas won’t set foot in a country with any chance of spiders that size, no matter how awesome the food is.
Need a big glass to catch that one Jerz !!!!
Tell bas that life is too short and to go if he gets the chance!! Oz is truuuuuuly fabulous !!!!!!!
Boston! You look like a model!
BM, Id been wondering where you’d been lately.
Sorry guys, the spider is real. A huntsman, not a particularly big one really. It got relocated to the garden.
Id already gone to bed and there was a bit of thumping coming from their room. It settled, then started up again. I had thought it was Potamus when Id first checked as she was hiding away. When I went back 2nd time, I saw the spider. When to get something to catch it in and when I came back, she’d come out and was sitting right next to it. So I don’t think it was the spider that started her(?) thumping. Just a coincidence that I saw it when checking on the buns.
The name – Huntsman spider – always amuses me because when one of my younger sisters was little, she was found fossicking around in the garden. When someone asked what she was doing, she announced, “Im looking for Husbands!”.

But look how far he’s come with his fear of dentists. There is hope yet!
Jersey : Boston says thanks life just has been so busy lately , hopefully will be around more soon
That spider!!!!!! Argggh !!
JG – Not a particularly big one?! Well, Potamus is officially the bravest bun I know now. Credit to her hoomin too .
BM – That face, those feet, so cute! He must love getting his picture taken since he models so well for the camera . Luna tends to move every time I point my phone towards her.
Yep it’s not a big one ! See this article – it’s as big as a dinner plate!!!!
Boston loves his photo taken – and I like taking photos – all our kids and Boston are all used to it by now haha
I do wish I had a better camera though as I only have cellphone camera
Mine are not nearly as photogenic as Boston, but here they are anyway because I finally have my laptop back, so I can finally post pictures!
Before anyone panics, those bandanas are not tied- they’re just placed on top of the buns for the picture
I tried to ignore the horrible s***** but since you guys so kindly pointed out that it’s friggin REAL I’m going to support Bas and say no to an antipodean voyage. I’m horribly allergic to spider bites. The last one (a teensy house spider) landed me in the hospital for two days. *shudder*
Great pics TM ^_^ I love the way they huddle together!
@Q8: Youch! That’s a pretty good reason indeed…
Me too. I miss my clingy little baby bun sometimes but he’s so happy being clingy with Mellie instead, it really makes me happy to see them all snuggled up together.
Cute with the bandanas Tony’s Mum !
TM – I love their matching accessories
Shudder spiders…gross…ive been killing them daily with the cooler temps rolling in…takes me 15mins to get the courage to do it then 1.5s to smooth it.
The new Star Wars trailer came out this week and something felt weirdly familiar…
Can’t wait for the new movie!
this is my new calf; only six days old his name is Banksy. I made a separate thread about the barn and getting the animals moved to my house for more pictures that is where you can go (link down below)
https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tabid/54/aft/163198/Default.aspx
Banksy too cute!!
Can’t wait for the new Star Wars movie!
Boston says “wait! What?! More Yoda???!”
Picture time! I don’t post in here nearly as much as I should, today I have a variety batch
First off the no animal pics. Since some of you are pretty crafty I thought you might appreciate this. A quilt my mum and her partner made for our wedding 2 years ago. It’s in a quilt show this weekend My mum did all the patchwork etc and her partner quilted it on their long-arm quilting machine.
And some detail:
Next some pics from the bunny garden because I am amazed at the growth! I put in some watercress just over a week ago and it has already almost tripled in size!
Before:
After:
Now for the cute pics
Miss Luna bun.
Apollo, trying to give himself gills so that he can survive underwater
And Apollo again, profiting from the spoils of Dory’s hay investigations Any time Dory goes near the hay, Apollo is up there in an instant to pick up the scraps she drops, lol.
jerseygirl: Thanks, glad you like them. There’s a big cardinal that comes to our bird feeder too (his name is Carl ), but I haven’t been able to get a picture of him yet. He’s huge! And so is that spider, jeez! Potamus is so brave!
Rookie: Awesome helmet!
Tony’s Mum: Aww, they look so cute with their bandanas!
pinknfwuffy: That’s gold!
BM: What a cutie pie! Please keep posting pictures of him as he grows up!
Boston’s Mama: He’s so good at posing for pictures!
Azerane: Your quilt is amazing, let us know how the show went! Love the picture of Apollo and Dory together! Shark Apollo made me laugh, although it looks like Luna isn’t too impressed…
Wow, so many gorgeous pics, I don’t even know where to start
Banksy looks totally huggable. Did you know some farms here have cow hugging sessions? It’s supposed to be just as relaxing as cuddling with your dog on the couch.
And there’s Boston with his perfectly round booplesnoot. His colours are coming around nicely now that he’s getting a bit older.
That quilt is really amazing, it’d surprise me if it didn’t end up on the podium. Such craftsmanship! Loving the Luna, Apolla and Dory pics too, they make for an utterly adorable fur&feather family. Apollo’s really smart for lounging around the hay basket ^_^
Do we have any Irish people on here? I hope they’re safe! Due to that massive storm in Ireland the whole weather system in western Europe is going crazy. We have strong southern winds who’re blowing hot air from Spain over here: it’s supposed to be 10 °C around this time of year, but it’s 25 °C now Breintje, who is shedding into his winter coat, is making himself as long as he can. This has to be the oddest way I’ve ever seen him, it’s a mix between sphinx and flat.
Az: Gorgeous. All around!
Ellie: Half Sphinx, half banana… Sphanana? Binx?
Me and Dface for sure anyway. I’m not sure if there’s anyone else Irish here?
I’m lucky, I’m on the east coast so we weren’t hit as hard but still knocked a few tiles off the roof and quite a few trees have been ripped up. A few people have died so far ? we have no power right now, and it’s still raging outside but the buns seem ok. They were quite agitated this morning, loads of rearranging the blankets and pillows etc. I stocked up on supplies in advance and they’re in the loft room because I wanted to keep them away from windows just in case. I bought some mint and basil so they can have an extra tasty dinner just in case they were stressed and avoiding food, but so far we’re doing okay!
It’s quite scary though. Schools, universities, most businesses, even hospitals have all shut. A lot of towns and cities around the coast are experiencing huge waves and flooding. Last time we had storms like this, people died from being swept out to sea and pulled into rivers that had overflowed.
Thanks guys My mum actually got first place for a quilt, but not the one I showed you So that’s pretty awesome.
We’re getting warm weather here this week. Yesterday was 32C, today and tomorrow are supposed to be 33C. House should stay nice and cool today for the buns after a nice night.
Ellie- a cow hugging session sounds fun. have you heard of got yoga
video of goat yoga: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvj6voiH5S0
super boss!
Awww so cute. Do you have any baby photos of boston?
Yep , if you go to my profile are you able to see my photo album ?
Yep just looked. Sprocket is also a sable point and he is lighter than Boston. based on what you said in your profile he has a similar personality to Boston but less keen on cuddles for now. Just wanted to see if Sprocket will get darker too.
Boston started light , I actually thought he might be a blue point for a few weeks – the colour def darkens and spreads , Boston is still spreading and darkening at 9 months
I think he was around 6 months when he suddenly went from the Sahel only going half way up his face to nearly all the way up between his eyes
Hmmm. Sprocket is just passing 6 months now so I’ll be interested to see what his color scheme will turn out as.
Do you have a recent pic I can see?
Boston at 6 months is the photo of him sitting on the rainbow coloured fiddlesticks tunnel/bridge
The ones I just posted today are at 9months old – so you can see how much he changed over that 3 months from 6-9months
Cute! Sprocket has more the sable colouring through his coat rather than creamy white by the looks? And is that a coloured ring around his eye? If the colouring circles his eye as I think it looks like it does he is probably broken sable point
yeah does have some extra colors. he has little shorts and racing stripes at his back legs. on his eyes it’s difficult to tell as it is perfectly lines up where his eyes get a shadow on his face from his ears and eyebrows.
He looks like a broken to me in which case his colour may not spread anymore
Huh… I guess we will see as time goes. Haha. Should be fun
“little shorts” Too cute.
Awe, too cute! Those frog legs. :]
Olaf has a habit of digging at my socks for treats. Instead of banana, I offered him some nose rubs and he decided it was comfy enough to hang around for a bit. My wittle marshmallow.
I realized I haven’t put up all that many pictures of Panda and Fernando, so here’s the most recent one – sorry if it’s a bit grainy! They’re shown having their evening salad this past Sunday.
TM- Hope the power comes back soon! like you I’m on the East so certainly not the worst affected by a long shot thankfully.
Rookie- Awesome helmet !
Pink- I have a pair of foot sitters too, I always joke about what good slippers they’d make!
I have been told a lot of different things about Yumi’s colours, though someone said she was a sable point marten, but her coat colour changes from winter to summer
My favourite change is the inside of her ears go all white, where during the year they only have a white trim.
You can kinda see the colour change in this picture, where she is losing the grey frosted tips from her coat, to show the dandelion fluff colour beneath!
I went away for a week with my boyfriend, just to kind of reset after college, I took the two rabbits with me( they are really good travelers, settle very quickly into new locations, and was under 2 hours trip)
We had access to apple trees, raspberry, strawberries, ash and willow, and of course an acre of fresh grass.
My dad has been working on the field for over a decade, turning it into a natural area, and trying to promote pollinators and wild birds so there are no chemicals, and I know most of the plants that are there. There is even a pair of resident hares.
We did have a bit of an incident with Peep and a frog (no-one was hurt, although Peeps pride did not emerge unscathed)
The house we were staying in isnt finished being built, and there are no dividing walls in yet, so the rabbits had a huge open space indoors to play, and because there was no furniture, Peep was able to run at full speed (something he generally doesnt do ’cause he bumps into everything)
He also discovered a love of burrowing into my sleeping bag..
Favourite picture though is of the rabbits finally getting to spend time with their other hoomin. They hadnt seen him about two months, Yumi looking for her kisses is always so cute..!
Pink – Luna steps/sits on my foot sometimes. I act like I can’t move so that she feels like she has super-bun strength
joea64 – Aww, mother and son having a family dinner
Dface – Yumi looks so excitedly cute. “Look Dad, I got taller!”
Dface, the getaway sounds like a bunny haven! All that wonderful forage. I hope you collected a stash.
That’s funny about Yumi’s ears. She must be part snow-shoe hare, I reckon.
@Rookie, Bostons Mama, now I want to post some pics of Maple’s face after seeing your cuties. I was told she was around 2 years of age when I took her in but I have to wonder judging from the changes I saw in her coat after. Though, she was pregnant, thin and could have been kept outdoors for all I knew so those things would have impacted how her coat appeared.
@ Joe, you haven’t post as many pics as us greedy BB-ers would like! Nice to see the pair again.
@Pink, I rather think Olaf is bonded to your socks. :p
Jersey girl : I agree those conditions would have made her condition of coat poorly and how her coat changed would have been re conditioning
Boston is sooooo cute!
Thanks he knows it haha

@jerseygirl – I have a TON of pics of P&F on my iPhone. It’s just a pain in the keister to transfer them because I don’t have iCloud installed on my current home PC (I did for a while on my previous desktop, but it caused problems with wanting to keep changing the bookmarks on my browser installations on my laptop and desktop to whatever was active at the time, as well as using up a lot more RAM than I liked – I’m stingy when it comes to RAM usage on my computers – so I ended up disabling the thing).

@Luna, don’t be too fooled by their good manners in this picture. They’re very good and dainty buns with their evening salad, but there’s a near-riot every morning when I give them their pellets and Panda’s behavior when I give them herb treats is shocking; she regularly steals the herb right out of her son’s mouth even as he’s nomming it. This is why when I give them Simple Rewards cookies, I give them each a separate piece at exactly the same time, to curb such unseemly scenes,
Dang. I am bad at this. There are supposed to be two more photos.

Are you posting from a mobile device by chance? I will attempt to get pics to show in above post for you.
Okay, 3 ADORABLE pics are now showing. Was there more Im missing?
Seriously, those 2 bunnehs… Jakes expression is hilarious and Julie is so pretty!

joe, have you checked out google photos for storage? I had read good reviews about it so gave it a whirl. I must admit though, I haven’t got the hang of it. nor taken the time to learn. Some of my phones pics automatically go on there and some don’t. I use Chrome as my browser, so it’s simple to go into google photos from there.

I do have Chrome on both my phone and desktop (my preferred desktop browser is Pale Moon). I never thought about Google Photos/Storage to date, I must admit.
I have a couple of interesting photos (if somewhat grainy; I don’t use the flash much when taking nighttime pictures of my buns because I don’t want to startle them) from last evening. One of them is of P&F doing something I don’t often see them doing, which is eating from the hay rack at the back of their condo.
Last evening’s pictures. The buns were relaxing right next to my computer chair in the top photo. The bottom photo is, to me, the most interesting, since I don’t see them eating hay from their hay rack that often. They had to push aside one of the hidey boxes to get at the hay rack, which to me indicates that I probably need to get another box and cut out the doors differently and position it differently so they don’t have to move the box to get at the rack.
Circumventing picture issues by doing a video link. It’s been a while since Wick’s been here! http://www.instagram.com/p/Bacj8kMlDr4/
If you have an Instagram, comment a caption! If not, just post one here! The video shows how quickly Wick switches his train of thought, haha.

Oh my gosh, professional bunny photos at JCPennies? Too cute & funny. I love it. Honestly, I have a nice camera and love taking photos, and have taken a few photography classes…. I don’t know why I haven’t yet taken some better photos of Sirius on a real camera instead of my phone! Then again, I don’t know if she’d be having any of that. Hahahaa.
Since Sirius is transitioning into “complete free roam mode” (I eased her into it very slowly, probably slowly than anyone else does haha, since I’m a new bun owner) she has found a favorite spot on the very top/back of the couch! Kind of like a cat She likes to peep out the window and look at the front yard.
Dface: Your trip sounds idyllic and the last pic is glorious!
Pink: Smooches to dear Olaf. Wave to your socks.
We haven’t been taking many pictures lately… But the weather’s finally turning nice so we’ve been outdoors a lot all of a sudden. lol
Joea: What a lovely couple! i store all phone pix on Flickr. It’s very practical imo.
Wick: A bunny yawn movie!
Katie: What a fluffy beauty she is!
Here’s a pic of Effi (dog) from today’s walk:
ROTFL Eyeore is EXACTLY what I was thinking for Jake’s demeanour, and then I read your comment and snorted in my tea.
Prinsessbookworm, Jake looks more like Ior than Ior does himself =D
ETA: I woke up in the middle of the night last night with the realization that I misspelled Eyeore. It is Eyeore in English, not Ior ?
Thanks Bam!
Look at this gem I snapped just yesterday! It’s my new absolute favorite. I’m melting. ♥
Sirius was curious about the cat being indoors. So as she was looking at him up on the couch, I snapped this photo.
Our cat, Mickey, likes being outside 99% of the time. So Sirius was probably thinking “What is this ham doing on my stomping grounds!?” She’s only ever seen him while she is out for walks. (Or should I call them “hops?” Lol) She wasn’t intimidated by him in the least bit. Nor did he (Mickey, cat) even seem to care about her. Lol. He was enjoying some petting and couch time! Being lazy.
This little marshmallow cloud seems to lack any facial features
Katie: Adorable picture!
Dface: How cute, I love the ball pit!
bam: Effi looks great! How is she feeling these days? I wish I could let Otis off leash without him running off…
Hanging out:
Boston with his buddy “Binky”
boston loves when parcels are delivered for the kids – cause he gets the packaging!
”i look like the bunny on the box…. Mum, was i adopted? “
So many cuties!
Awww bostons mama that’s so cute. I always wanted sylvanian families as a child and my mum never let me because she said they were too fancy and I might spoil them. Now my daughter is 3 that’s the first thing I’ve put on my xmas list for her this year. The little bunny family is super cute and she will love it
We couldn’t afford proper LEGO or Sylvanians etc when I was a kid , so now I have 4 kids they have all that I don’t spoil them though – they get Xmas and birthday gifts – and gifts for surgeries as a couple of mine have them often due to disabilities – they rest of the year if they want a new toy they sell old ones they outgrown to make the money
BM – Boston is took cute fitting right in the display! It seems like the dark fur on his nose has been spreading up closer to his forehead the past month? Though Luna doesn’t color change, she does let me know when it’s officially Fall because her chest gets furrier .
Yep when I got him his points were light blue , at 4months they darkened then they started to spread. Should be almost done spreading now as he just coming up 10months old
Poor Bubbsie has hurt his leg again and is on cage rest. I wasn’t there when it happened so I’m not sure how he did it. Last time he channeled his inner flying squirrel and flung himself off the cat tree… I blocked off the upper levels of his cage.
Sulking…
Unfortunately, this is often what happens with intelligent critters. They behave like daredevils and end up with booboos. Hope he feels better soon.
Awe, get well soon, Bubbsie. You’re beautiful, even when you’re sulking. :]
Poor Bubbles! You really are beautiful.
^ Boston’s new trick – grabbing pieces of Timothy hay then parading it around his pen like a puppy with a stick
Thanks guys! He’s our little polar bear. He got a couple of minutes out of the cage the other day when I replaced his litter box, he was SO excited, it just broke my heart. He was bouncing around, doing his little ferret laugh and tried to rip my toes off. But he was obviously still limping, so I put him right back. He’ such a happy guy, it’s sad seeing him cooped up.
Q8: You’re right, he is quite smart. Manic, but smart. He’s always piling up items in front of his baby gate and tries to use them to climb over. Or he’ll drag his bed over to the door so he can watch us and lounge at the same time. He’s an evil genius.
BM: Aww, Boston is such a character!
@BM: awww, could “fetch” be the next step?
@Hazel: wow, I’m really surprised that you have a ferret. He’s gorgeous and I hope he gets well soon! How does he get along with rabbits? In the wild they’re predator and prey, do they behave differently when domesticated?
So, the reason why we called him Breintje (AKA the brains of the outfit):
“Aww shucks, if only there was an easier way to get to that tasty hay!” He insists on trying to eat his hay from the outside of his cage, getting on tiptoes and eating it off the top of the rack.
Ellie, aw shucks for sure! It’s a bit like when Bam begs for treats through the bars of the cage that he has at my mother’s. The door next to you is open, Bam. You know that, because it’s always open =D
Ellie: Although they are domesticated, they are still very close to their wild counterparts in terms of behavior, like cats. When you interact with him, you understand very quickly that (not so) deep down he’s still a vicious little killing machine! Which is weird because out of all our pets, he seems to be the most innocent soul. He is always happy to see you, he always wants to play and never has a bad day. He is just a little ray of sunshine. Pretty much the complete opposite of your typical grumpy, bossy bunny. Bubbles doesn’t get to interact with our other pets, except for the cats. He has his own room, (secured with three baby gates stacked one on top of the other) and the kitties (mostly Mosby) hop in and visit sometimes. Or anytime I take down the baby gates, in Mosby’s case. He’s obsessed with Bubbles, even though he gets his butt handed to him every single time. Bubbles weighs two pounds, Mosby 12. Bubbles can take that cat down like it’s nothing. They are incredible strong and efficient fighters. Mosby will start crying for help, but as soon as I rescue him, he’s back in there trying his luck again! As far as I can tell, Bubbles doesn’t look at our other pets as prey, at least he doesn’t exhibit any predatory hunting behaviors. Him and Oscar have met, but neither seemed to care much about the other. Bubbles was mildly curious, and Oscar couldn’t have cared less, he gave him a sniff and casually hopped off. I thought he might be scared, but I guess he just doesn’t have any instincts left to tell him “RUN, IT’S A FERRET!!!” All Bubbles cares about is playing, but he plays very rough. I let the cats play with him for a couple of minutes while I’m supervising, but then I have to step in before he becomes too much for the kitties to handle.
Looks like Breintje doesn’t play on “easy”.
