Oakleys free roam space good enough?

Oakley HATES being in a cage. I made a C&c cage with 2 sets of 13 cubes. I’ve changed up the cage by making in one huge pen and he still chewed the bars instantly and continuously. I’d wake up to him nawing. And when I was down stair I could still hear him nawing. I changed the cage into a 3 level cage and he stilled chewed the bars continuously so I’ve given up on the cage. I’ve attached some pictures please let me know what I should add to make him like his space more! He has 2 large litterboxes a few balls with bells in them a few cardboard rolls to chew, a water bowl and water bottle a bed on the top level of my dude shelf that allows him to look out the window. A bed on the bottom shelf that he can rearrange the blankets.im going o out his fresh vegetables in the corner litterboxes because he never uses it for his litter box. I don’t know what else to add. P.s I do have hay I just haven’t put it out yet.

Sorry. I don’t see the pictures (of course, I’m new and might not be looking in the right place). It sounds like he has enough, but some rabbits get bored with spaces like these. I actually have two free roam spaces for my bun. He has an x-pen inside with only a small upper story, and I also let him run around my balcony. It’s bunny proofed and there’s a fan out there. Of course, I never let him out them when I’m gone, but it’s useful for when I need to vacuum and stuff. Additionally, I usually have his x-pen open in such a way that he can only explore my living room (where his cage is), my bedroom, and bathroom. The rest of the apartment is blocked off by his pen.

Constantly changing his environment keeps my bunny entertained. I also like switching up what’s in his x-pen. Today it’s a converted ikea table for a second story, tomorrow it might be his cardboard box with windows cut in the sides. It doesn’t take much time to make the switch, and he’s more active when I keep things interesting for him.

If you have any room for a run, I’d highly suggest that as well. Having some safe outside time is something that I lot of bunnies really enjoy.

Your rabbitat sounds great! You can try a variety of toys and enrichment. Try plastic baby toys, cardboard boxes, tunnels, and stuffed toys (if he doesn’t chchew soft things).

I’m not seeing any pictures either, but it sounds great. Changing up his toys from time to time will also keep him from getting too bored…I have a box of rabbit-safe toys in my laundry room that I switch out every week, just to keep them on their toes. Everything from blankets to dig in, plastic baby toys (rattles, keys, blocks, cups), cardboard tubes, small and big cardboard boxes, little stuffed animals, and just random things I’ve come across in thrift stores that they like to toss around.

I know I had to work with Toby a little bit to figure out what he wanted. He was a chewer and he ignored all his toys at first and just chewed on the bars and the rug. I finally figured out that he’s a digger. He wants to nest, so he always has to have a box and a towel/blanket to rearrange in his corner. Now that I keep that supplied, he plays with his other toys too, lol. It’s like he was protesting until I figured out what he wanted.
