  So a few weeks ago other half heard sounds and after ages of thinking it was outside / tv / anything but – was convinced it was a squeak coming from Oakley –
  Well last night he was drinking and it happened again – sounded like a squeaky toy! I questioned if it was his tummy since he has issues with ISS and lack of eating cecals but after quite a few times of listening to it as he drunk I think it’s coming from his mouth ( I could be wrong though) when he drinks ( maybe teeth grinding ? Sounds like knife and fork scraping together )
  
  is this common / normal??

  Could it be a wheezing sound? Like associated to URI?

  No idea as I haven’t heard that before… he only does it when drinking though ?
  No coughing or sneezing and isn’t making this sound any other time
  He was at the vet today for a neuter ( which didn’t happen as he hadn’t dropped yet) and vet didn’t notice anything the 5 hours he was there ( I didnt talk to the vet so couldn’t mention the sound when drinking – was just passed on from nurse that vet was happy with his health and weight etc)
  Surely vet would have noticed anything like that ?

  I don’t know whether it’s normal as such but my Peanut makes the same sound most of the time, I think it’s because he really gulps it down.

  Not sure how it compares to what you’re hearing, but Chewie makes a funny slurpy/gulpy kind of sound when he’s sipping water from his bowl

  Luna makes a gulp-squeak sound when she’s drinking from her bowl – usually when she’s drinking fast or taking big sips.

  Breintje gets water into his nose daily, because he’s just elegant like that. His sneezes sound exactly like squeaky toys then

  My guys ALL squeek when they drink! They drink sooo much all in one go then wait a long time until they ‘refill’.

  My little Bindi does the “drink squeak” too. Has done so for many years so I assume it’s just normal for some buns. Maybe it’s a lop thing as they tend to have those squishy faces?
