Who’d have believed it? I wouldn’t have, so I had to take a picture really sneakily… It’s Owen’s 5th day here, and he’s laying on my lap already!
He’s still exploring his territory and his escape routes. Part of that is jumping onto the sofa and running across my lap to the other side of the sofa 😆
Today I was sitting with a blanket, and he sat down on my leg to inspect this new situation. I carefully started to pet him because he was sitting still for a couple of seconds. He liked it so much that he sat down, laid down, and laid there purring for 5 minutes straight!

Oh, hello Owen and so very, very welcome to BB! 🥰🥰🥰
Ohhh soo lovely!

such a snuggle bun, Owen is really precious! I am hoping one day Dorian will be a lap bun as he certainly likes his pets and likes to sit on my feet, but so far no luck 😀
@dorian: yes, our bridge bunny Breintje was like that too: he loved to be petted and would snuggle up for hours, laying against my leg on the sofa deep into the night. It was my biggest wish to have him in my lap for once.
The strange thing was that in his last week he suddenly became a lap rabbit. He showed no signs of illness, so I didn’t worry and just abandoned all my chores to sit there with him for hours. We were really enjoying ourselves together. The vet said that it’s very rare that rabbits get more cuddly if they feel ill. He must have had a lot of trust in me, our little sofa snuggler… <3
Update: I was able to pet Molly today!! Our shy little girl who does nothing but running and binkying… She sat down on the little crate next to the sofa. I moved closer to her and offered her a couple of nibbles of rusk. She’s mad for gluten-free rusk 🙂
I kept my left hand close to her and took the rusk away with my other hand. She flopped, planting her butt straight on my left hand. I had to sit really still for 2 minutes XD After that she rolled upright and started to loaf. I could pet her for several minutes ^_^

That is lovely, Ellie! and what a perfect little loaf she is!
aww what a cute loaf. I love both of their coloring. And not as snuggly, but since this is a photo thread here’s Dorian being floppy
Hello everyone. Such cute fluffs! So lucky that owen is a little lap bunny! Glenn will snuggle into my leg or even chest when I’m laying down for ages but will never get on my lap 😂.
I have finally found a way to add photos into posts! Yay!
Here are my two lionheads on a bonding date having a little snuggle. Glenn (black) and recent adoptee Bella (white/tricolour).

Adding more evidence to our theory that lionheads like other lionheads the best (because they just KNOW that they are GORGEOUS) X-D

@Dorian: awww, and what a lovely lazy flop it is ^_^ He’s got a beautiful colouring as well, with his dark little nose! Funny, it’s like the cinnamon colour that Breintje had, but in black and grey 🙂
For all the people who are wishing for a lap rabbit: give them firm footing. I noticed this with both Breintje and Owen: they sit on my lap longer if I’m rolled in a blanket.
Wrap a towel or blanket tightly around you and sit on it, so they’ve got firm footing, and bring in the treats ^_^ (Go to the lavvy first though, because your bun may decide that he’s so comfy that he won’t be moving for 2 hours)
@Glenn: Hehe, they’re both rocking the same hairdo, they’re bound to be buddies! Hoping that the bonding works out 🙂

Haha, using your friend’s ear as a blanket… I love it!
My baby girl was spayed last Tuesday. Here’s a picture of her when she came back home. 2 hours later, she decided to jump over a 3 foot compost grid that Id put up to deter her from jumping into my bed 😖

The first thing she ate was a dried goji berry.
Oh, naughty girl… I hope she didn’t pull any stitches in the process. Wishing her a speedy recovery!
@Bam is she a velvet, she looks so soft! Fast healing to her.
Boo and Walter are like two little cotton balls!
Glen and Walter are too cute, love the lionhead manes. Hope the bonding goes well!
I’ll have to try the treats thing you suggested for lap buns Ellie. Dorian does come up every now and again but he never settles, he may occasionally chew my book if I am trying to read though.
Ellie, needless to say I was quite upset. I’d fixed her a “perfect” enclosure of about 6 sq m, with clean ragrugs, vetbeds, pee pads, a buffet of grass and hay and herbs and pellets, a warm water bottle and a matress on the floor for me to spend her first night home sleeping next to her. I ended up putting her in a plastic bottom rabbit cage for her first night, but I let her out in the morning and emailed the vet that did the surgery. They didn’t seem alarmed, they just told me it was better to not keep her locked up in a cage because the tummy works better if she can move around – which of course is true. I just never thought she’d move around quite as vigourously as she did.
What a naughty girl! But glad to hear she’s eating and obviously feeling well enough for some shenanigans!

Hey all 😊
It’s officially been six weeks since we adopted our troublesome two, and here are some more pictures! Despite an eventful transition, I think we’re all pretty happy with one another haha
This is Fred and George, twinsies and napping experts.

Awww they are so beautiful!

Thanks, @danaNM!
So are all of the other buns being posted 🙂 There’s nothing like life with a rabbit.
Lovely pictures, KaterH! Napping hay ball munching like there’s no tomorrow! 🥰
Thanks! They certainly are enthusiastic about all things lol They’re currently in food comas from supper.
They are adorable… and the toys I see in the picture look great! You could very possibly be the best bun-mom ever! 🙂
Hahaha I wouldn’t go that far, but they are very spoiled for sure. Sooo much hay and many toys.
Yes, I wish I could afford all that. Actually, I would be able to afford more, but in my house, a nice new willow ball lasts 1-3 days. And a pile of maple sticks lasts 1 or 2 hours. 😂
