  It’s final!! I”m going on vacation!!!
  
  I got my tax return (what I was waiting on) and I’m going on vacation!! Dave’s never been to an all inclusive before so I let him pick the country. He picked Cuba. So it’ll likely be Varadero or Holguin. I can’t wait. I’ll be officially booked by friday and then I can tell you guys more details. We’re going May 24 to June6-7 and I’m so excited I could literally puke !! Woohoo!!

  Dave’s mom and my girlfriend are taking turns looking after them; They’ll each do 3-4 assigned visits a week, plus one full cage cleaning a week. That way its not too much work for one person but they get out every day and their cage will be cleaned twice a week! They’ll stay in my apartment though.

  Alrighty I’m booked (like literally five minutes ago) PU-UMPED!! We leave May 24 and return June 7. Only bummer is it’s not direct flight so we have to fly from here to Toronto and then to Cuba (and then on the way home arrive in TO at midnight and depart for Edmonton at eight am!!) Well, I guess we’ll find out if we can stand each other LOL
  
  Time to buy flip flops and water toys!! I am allowed since the snow just melted a few days ago LOL

  oh and guess what? i’m going away this year too!!! mexico in november!!! i haven’t gone away for holidays in… wait for it… 15 years! so i’m looong over-due for this one & i’m so excited my girlfriend’s ex-in-laws have an extra timeshare condo week they’re very graciously giving to us for free so all we need to cover is our flights & meal plan! (sorry for butting into your thread but i’m just so excited!!!!)

  Oh great!!! That’s going to be soo fun bbm!! Where in Mexico are you going? If it’s the Cancun area, you HAVE to visit xel-ha it’s amazing!! You day trip there, and there’s snorkling (amazing snorkling) and also you take a train, and float down an arm of water in tubes, it’s sooo fun

  oh that does sound amazing! we don’t have the condo booked yet but i think we’re going to be on the pacific side… possibly puerto vallarta. i don’t even care where i go. lol. as long as there’s a beach i’m good. i def want to hit cuba some day. is the spanish spoken in cuba the same as mexico? i wonder if they have dialects like german does. i need to learn some spanish

  Yup its spanish, but the locals speak amazing english-they can usually read it too! The literacy rate in Cuba is the highest for third world countries, almost 99% I believe. They are amazing people for sure. Mexico is great, I’ve never been to Puerto Viarta but my brother and his girlfriend went and had an amazing time. Did you take french in school? I found because of taking french I can pretty much read spanish!! Neat!
