So we’re thinking of getting our Binky a friend (after he’s neutered in a few weeks of course) and since he is very, very energetic and has this tendency to mark everything (territorial issue?)…I wanted to see what he does when there’s another “creature” in there with him. So I took my stuffed beanie dog (the kind that lies around) and put in his cage. Binky looked at it, sniffed a few times then just ignored and got into a bunny ball (relaxed pose) and sat in his usual spot (which happened to be right beside the dog). Half hour later…he was still there. This guy chins EVERYTHING…even things he has NO clue about..but he didn’t chin the dog. Just sniffed it. He never seen the dog, ever.
After I let Binky out for his playtime/exercise, I got the dog out to see his behaviour on the floor (which is his territory…he sprays regularly there). Again..same thing. Sniff sniff, ignoring. The dog is now sprawled across the floor and Binky is unwinding behind his other fav. place, behind the sofa.
