So No-Name-As-Of-Yet has recently started very adamantly nibbling/nipping my fingers after giving them a lick. I believe he is somewhere in the 8-16 week mark, and he doesn’t do it to anyone else. (And I have washed my hands etc ,to make sure there was nothing tasty on them)
He isn’t aggressive about it, and it is kinda cute, because he will crawl all over me to get to my fingers. It doesn’t bother me (he will learn not to do it in time), I am just curious as to why he is doing it. =)

Hi! He might lick you and then nip you to move you, I know my babies will love on me for 5 seconds and then bite me so I move, very indecisive haha. You can always spray him with a bottle so he doesn’t learn bad habits early on.

Maybe he has learned that those fingers are the best things in the world. They bestow food and pets and all the best things in life. They are his best friends. He is trying to entice and encourage them for more and more. Oh wise one he is.

I’m assuming the nips are not hard. I think that when he licks you, he is actually grooming you. Then he nips to say “ok, my turn!” You may stroke his head in return to make him think you’re grooming him.

I wouldn’t suggest using a spray bottle, i can’t imagine doing that. All i did to get my bunny to stop excessive biting, like biting whenever touched or when i had to give him medicine, was give a high pitched “eek!!!” loudly. Drove my family nuts, but now i’m not covered in bruises and bites anymore! lol

Although i agree with others, his nips are probably saying “Attention please!”. Adorable!
