So I am planning on giving a NIC rabbitat and go and I was just wondering if people have any advice? I’ve read that using the connectors plus zip ties is the best to keep it together?

It would be in my room (carpet) so I was thinking of getting some leftover lino to Put down. My questions is, carpet sections versus Lino sections? He doesn’t chew the carpet now and has never peed outside his box EVER! (love him to death ) but I just keep thinking that I’m gunna buy it and going have all these accidents Also what do you guys put down for the upper floors?

Lastly, maybe , do you guys have doors on yours? I don’t like the idea Of having to pick him up everytime he gets free time. I was thinking maybe having one of the grid only attached at the top and putting travel locks on each of the bottom corners so I could just pull it up and out of the way when I wanted? Or if this would even work.

Any of insights into these would be greatly appreciated before starting construction

          1. I just use zip-ties because I lost all my connectors.
          2. I would use linoleum its WAY easier to clean then carpet. If you don’t want to vacuum you can just take a little dust pan and broom and sweep it out. My rabbits always spill their water or get veggie juice/water on the carpet and it always makes me think how gross and dirty the carpet gets.
          3. Yes, you could make a little door for him so he could run in and out on his own. You will also want to make other doors so you can get in and clean.

I have linoleum on the bottom and on the various levels. Since the higher levels do not get as messy, I have rugs/towels/cloth on the upper levels. I keep the bottom bare linoleum; to echo above, it is much easier to sweep and clean.

I have two doors. The large bottom one (2×2) can be seen here; pic was before much of the furnishing. I just leave it open when they are allowed out and theyeasily hop in/out. There is also one on the top back side that’s 1×2 panels vertical so that I can reach/clean the upper levels.

Oh wow, I never thought I could have such a big door! That is awesome. I though it might not be so structurally sound, but I guess it works!

                Love your condos!
