        Hello fellow rabbit owners,

My male Lion Head rabbit was neutered last Tuesday. He is around 7-8 months. Before he got neutered he was just starting to spray and produce tterritorial poops. I was told that he would stop that behaviour after being neurted. However, when I let him out of his cage now he is still running circles around me, honking and spraying. I was told that spraying can become a habit, however he has only sprayed maybe a total of 10 times. Does that make it a habit? I am concerned he won’t stop this behaviour.

        Thanks,
        Brittany

I’m no expert but I feel like I’ve read a few times that it can take quite awhile for all the hormones to settle down after neutering, so could be a few months or weeks before you see changes in his behaviour.

Yes, after a neuter the hormones go crazy so expect the behaviour to last a few weeks. Hopefully, it will settle down after that. That’s usually the case.
