Hello everyone!
My name is Ceara and I’m from South Florida SAHM and artist. New to the forum. I have two bunnies. A female mini lop rescue who is a year old named Luna Lop. Also have a male rescue, named Bun Diesel, who’s age I don’t know as he was found outdoors and brought to the shelter. All they know is that he is young. I’m not sure on his breed. He has similar coloration to a Himalayan but his points are light and he has a couple light spots. Probably a mix of some sort. I’m currently trying to bond them. I also have a 11 month old daughter named Violet, a rescued Tibetan terrier named Bella, 3 aquatic turtles named Koopa, Turt Turtleton and one yet to be named (we’ve been procrastinating with his name
) and an Oscar fish named Zeke. Lots of babies
I am a big animal lover and have cared for many types throught my life from dogs and cats to frogs, chameleons and leopard geckos to birds, rats and mice.
These are the first bunnies I’ve ever owned. A little background on how I decided to adopt rescue bunnies. While leaving my in-laws house we found a bunny in the road. Tried knocking on doors in the neighborhood with no avail and so took the bunny in. I stocked up on all the necessitis to properly care for a bunny while continuing to look for the owner. I know bunnies found outside don’t often have good chances being found by owners and many people let bunnies go. We were very lucky to eventually find the owners who were extremely happy to have him back. He was a 10 year old bunny they had had since he was a baby bun. Because I had spent the money on all these bunny supplies and now no bun I decided to go to my local shelter and check out their bunnies and think about adopting. My second time visiting the shelter I decided to meet some buns and I met Luna and here we are.
Thanks so much for the help I’ve already been given here. I look forward to meeting you all and making new friends. I will add some photos of the buns but bare with me the only way I seem to be able to add photos is one post, with one picture, at a time.
