As part of our “Wonderful World of Rabbits” education event, two of our volunters made videos about rabbits, housing, diet and care.  We sell the videos on a DVD, but we have also uploaded them to YouTube for people to see on the web.  The segments are long, so we broke them up into multiple parts.  They are intended for first time bunny people and new foster sites, but I thought the BB crowd might enjoy them.  Here they are:

Introduction to The Wonderful World of Rabbits

Shopping for supplies for a new bunny with Anita of For Other Living Things: Part 1 and Part 2

Setting up a Marchioro pen at home for your new bunny Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3

Setting up an XPen home for your bunny Part 1 and Part 2

Setting up a NIC cube condo (yes, that is me as the narrator)

Hey Osprey, those are great! I really like the Setting up the NIC cube condo. I would love to supply a link to that in our Cool Habitats Section!
Let me know if there are any problems with that.

Very cool! The NIC condo one definitely got my dog’s attention though, she wondered why a man was talking from my laptop!

i thought bunnies needed timothy hay? my bun is only a few months old and i only give her timothy hay and timothy pellets—any problems w/ this?

oooh…and i love the shopping part of the videos…i want to go to that store!!!!

BB, you can use whatever links you find useful.  These videos are produced as a public service, so the more exposure the better.  I am going to put up a page on The Haven’s site tonight with more information about the videos and links to the parts, to make navigation easier.  It is our intention to refer our adopters and new foster families to this information as a way to learn more about their new bunny.

Here is a page that has links to all of the videos.  I forgot to include the links to the “How to Handle Your Bunny” videos in my previous post.

Those videos are awesome!  I will forward this info to my vet’s office at our next visit.  I also respond to bunny posts on craigslist, so I will add a link w/ these when I respond to people as well.

My favorite part was the obligatory kiss on the bunny head any time they got picked up.  I know my Leo demands the kiss.  The only other thing…the p/up bunnies looked very accommodating or was it the handler that made them look so accommodating?  I was wondering if you could do a handling a feisty bun?  Jessica is VERY difficult to pick up!

wow, I love those, thanks for posting. Although with one of mine that nose kiss might turn into a nose piercing for me! Bad Pringles!
