This group of seven babies was part of a rescue of 20+ rabbits that were living under a house.  The bunnies were the result of a pair of rabbits escaping from a hutch and then breeding in a neighbor’s back yard.  I made a video of them, you can see it here on youtube.

I like how they all cluster at the fencing at the end. Someone must’ve shaken the feed bag! ^_^
The one with the heavy brown spotting on it’s rear haunches is sure a cutie! I kind of feel sorry for the black one though, it seems to be rather shunned by the rest. Any idea yet of ratio of girls to boys?
AUGH! I am definitely suffering from “MUST-SAVE-A-SHELTER-RABBIT” syndrome! Between these little angels and Benny, I would sweep them all up in a heartbeat if I could! *sigh*

Aw, MimzMum, you are too sweet.  We have over 100 bunnies in our system now, and we do our best to make sure each one is cared for and gets adopted into their own home.  We are full, our shelters are full, SaveABunny who we work closely with is full, it is quite a challenge.  Fortunately there are lots of adopters in The Bay Area, so we manage to save most of them.

As to the buns in the video, 3 boys: Puck (black), Oberon (agouti), Edward (brown moustache) and 4 girls: Esme (Black and white, white flanks), Isis (black and white, black spotted sides), Rosalie (light brown, gorgeous bunny) and Aphrodite (white with brown ears and eye liner).

I am always amazed by domestic rabbits.  These are feral babies, born under a house in someone’s backyard, yet they are totaly sweet with people.  The sweetest of the bunch is Oberon, the brown one, he kept jumping into my lap while I was sitting on the floor taking the video.  Rosalie is just beautiful, I have a real soft spot for those bunnies with light brown/dark tan coats.

Aawww baby bun buns … I just love them all … one of the buns in the vid white with brown spots reminds me of one of your babies Lisa43.

                    They are all gorgeous.
