        Hi all!

I would like to introduce myself! My name is Jodi and I recently adopted my bunnie from a rabbit rescue in our area. I am not completely new to houserabbits, but i do need some refreshers.  I have had Flopsy for about 3 weeks now, she is about 2 years old.

So far things are going great.   Just recently I saw a new bunnie up for adoption at the same rescue and I am going to be adopting a boy who will be one year in July. He will be neutered, our girl Flopsy has been spayed.

Everything I’m reading about bonding is telling me to wait until there hormones die down.  The boy was just neutered on Thursday and I’m picking him up this Sunday. So I will definetly wait before doing intro’s.  But I wanted to make myself known now, as I’m sure I may have lots of questions coming up and will need the help and support!  This site is great and I’ll definetly make sure to mention it to the rabbit rescue to add to their list of links!!

              Hi, Jodi!
This is a really great site full of info., information and fun.

I had my bunny, Spockie, for 8 years, and am currently “between bunnies,” ie. will try to get a new one next fall. Everyone here is so welcoming and made me feel like one of the litter. They love their buns as much as I did, and my experience with him has an outlet. It’s wonderful.
              Welcome!

hi jodi! i have 2 males neither is neutered as one is 2 young and one i am having done very soon i wasnt expecting them 2 get on (because of hormones and the like) but they got on instantly and i have only had the one since yday and right now they are snuggling and licking each other, so just because they arent neutered doesnt mean they cant get along, obviously get him neutered eventually but u could give a try as long as u are well prepared and have read up on what u are doing, if it doesnt work thats ok just try again once they are neutered u never know, its worth a try right?

hi Jodi – welcome! it makes me very happy when people adopt bunnies – go you!
glad to hear you’re planning to wait until after the hormones have died out to try bonding them, it usually really helps to wait.
Did you lil boy come home today?? how’s he doing so far?
