        Hi,

I am new to the forum. I am the proud parent of two adorable mini rexs, Peepers and Honey, both eleven weeks old. I have had them three weeks now. Honey only weighed a pound when I got her and Peepers weighed 18 ounces. Now they weigh 2 lbs. and 2.5 lbs. I was terrified Honey wasn’t going to make it because she was sneezing all the time and so small. But the vet says she is very healthy and just has an allergy. Believe it or not she seems to be allergic to my son’s guinea pig!!! Now you can’t tell she started out so small. She is almost as big as Peepers. They are both so sweet and loving. They love to cuddle. I am sure Honey is a mini rex. But Peepers I am not sure about. Some of her feature look more like a Holland lop.

This is the first time I have had two rabbits together and it is really funny how much Peepers mothers Honey. Peepers adopted Honey from the beginning and takes care of her. If Honey gets scared or upset Peepers comforts her. It is amazing, especially considering they are the same age. Even the vet was suprised by it. They are in the same pen and they cuddle together to sleep, they look so sweet. Peepers ears are always draped over Honey when they sleep.

I don’t know what I would do without these two little girls. I got them because both my mother and my daughter have dwarf rabbits. My mom has a four year old American Polish and my daugher a three year old Dutch. We have also had a Florida Whtie and a Holland Lop both who died. These are the first two that are mine. I am so glad I got them. I don’t know why I waited so long to get them. These little girls stole my heart.

I look forward to talking to other rabbit owners. And sharing experiences.

        Honey&PeepersMom

Welcome to the board! How very cute and they are your own! Have you thought about having them spayed so you can keep them around for a while longer, there is an 80% chance of uterine cancer without having it done. I hope you have fun and find this site informative and friendly! I look forward to seeing you around more often!

                  Welcome to Binkybunny!

They sound like a supersweet pair As everyone else said – I hope we get to see pictures soon! Is your vet one that frequently sees rabbits? I am asking because I also had a young female bunny that had the sneezes, and we gave her a dose of Baytril and it cured it, I think its kind of common for the young ones to get a “cold” type sickness – I cannot remember what in the world it was called though… This little girl I had would sneeze so bad that she almost couldn’t breathe. Is there any discharge when Honey sneezes? If so, that could be a sign that medication might help her. I do also have a bunny with allergies though (but its my theory he just sneezes for attention )

Welcome. Your bunnies sound adorable. So what happens when you try to post? Does it say it’s too big, or do you get a strange code thing? Are you using the Upload photo feature below the text box, or using the image icon in the tool bar?

Here is a link directly to how to upload a pic https://binkybunny.com/Default.aspx?tabid=54&forumid=5&postid=1433&view=topic

This time it said the image was too big. Before it was just not doing anything. Like it got stuck. I was trying to use the upload photo feature.

Oh okay, so do you know how to resize them? I mean do you have a program that can do that? If so, resize them so they are no larger than 300. Or if you want to have a bit more flexibility, do you have your photos online anywhere like photobucket?
