Hi everyone! I just rescued a new bun a few hours ago. I was a 2 hour ride in the car there and back. Obviously he’s pretty stressed out being in a new environment but I’m a little worried. He’s been home and set up in his pen for a few hours now and I have seen no poops! He’s a very picky eater so I have hay and his pellets from the rescue as well as Orchard grass, Timothy, and Botanical hay. He has been playing in his pen and has been throwing his toys around but he’s only munched in a few pellets and maybe a 1/4 handful of hay (that’s being generous). I’m a crazy worry wart and I’m panicking about him going into stasis… I called my vet and they told me to wait until the morning and let him settle in but I can’t stop myself from worrying! There have been NO poops at all!!! My other bun Elouise has never had any stasis issues and is a huge foodie. I’ve given him some belly massages just Incase he has any gas but I don’t know what else to do! Anyone else have any experience with this? Thanks in advance and sorry for my long post ?

breathe! You need to let him settle a bit, when I road tripped with my bunny she went about 10 hours without. As soon as she felt comfy things returned to normal.

Agree with Kiki, if he’s eaten a bit, no need to panic yet! Let him have some quiet time to settle in, try not to hover too much!

You can offer some favorite greens as well. He might not eat them with you around though, so best to give them and then leave him alone for a bit!
