We adopted a new bunny 7 days ago. Her age is around 2 from what her other owner knows. She was very sweet the first 3 to 4 days, but the last 3 days she has been biting like crazy. She jumps up on the couch and digs at your leg like crazy then bites hard. She has drawn blood if she gets bare skin and left little welts that bruise if she bites a clothed body part. What the heck is up with that? She also pees on the couches. But only the couches! She is other wise litter box trained. She doesn’t mess on the floor anywhere or in her cage. HELP ME!

          Hi and congrats!
Is she spayed? She needs to to prevent uterine cancer and to also cut down on hormonal behavior. Peeing means either territorial behavior, or no litter training.

New bunnies should be in their own area for the first week to acclimate( little human interaction) then you can start to sit in her pen and allow her to come to you, not you go to her and pick her up-they hate being picked up. Then you can work on litter training her in her pen. As she gets better, you can slowly increase her space until she is free roam.

You can’t just let a bunny free roam right when you get her.

Have you been to a rabbit savvy vet to get her checked out and get the proper diet for her? There’s a lot of info in BUNNY INFO

I’ve had rabbits before. 🙂 She is actually #5, we currently have 4 others. 2 of them are outside bunnies. They HATED living in the house, they had been outside rabbits before we got them.
Anywho, i will confine her to her cage for a while. She seems so unhappy in there. She rattles the bats with her teeth and looks so pathetic.lol She only pees on the couches. Not on the floor or on her cage and never poops outside her litter box.
And this little odd ball seems to want to be held. She chills right out when she is in somebodies arms being petted. But if you just let her sit in the lap she digs and bites like a psycho. I can’t figure her out!

I’m also unsure if she is spayed. I’m leaning towards no. She was a gift for a child, that didn’t work out and then her 2nd home was a college student who no longer had time for her.
