I just got my Bun yesterday, and he had a huge change of worlds! He went from livimg outside in a hutch that wasnt very clean and he was alone to suddenly being inside, super loved, and with a lot of space to hop around. I know he is still a little nervous in a new place with a lot of new sounds but as a new bunny mom of course im gonna worry if a behavior is normal! Hes been cleaning himself a lot and not just in 1 spot just all over himself. Hes been eating and drinkimg just fine but he also hasnt pooped yet. He did pee in his litter box (saw it this morning) but he hasnt pooped yet and i am worried about that. It hasnt been 24 hours yet and i know sometimes bunnies will eat their poo when theyre nervous but i was just wondering if this behavior should be worrisome? Did any of you have similar worries/observed similar behaviors with new bunnies?

I would be very concerned if he hasn’t pooped since yesterday. I would take him to a vet.

I agree with Sarah. Get him to a bunny vet asap. Not pooping for over 12-24 hours is an emergency.

He did poop!! Almost right after I posted this I went out to get him some more toys and food and such and I came back and he had pooped! He seems to like to poop when he is alone!

Thank you for the advice!!! Hes been pooping a lot now and he seems really comfortable. He flops all the time and just naps with me and hes started to just climb into my lap and cuddle with me after just 1 day of having him! As we speak he is currently all loafed out!
