New Rabbit

Hi, im new to this site, i found it because i was looking for information on rabbits and there was something i couldnt find so i thought i would ask here! I am getting a rabbit in the next 2 weeks and apart from the obvious (hutch food etc.) i wanted to know if anyone has anything that they would never be without if they where to get a new bunny! I have got a few wooden things for them to chew but i was hoping for a few tricks of the trade!

hay is a must have a major part of their diet. none of those eye catching pellets with seeds etc in it. just reg. pellets and a litter box no pine scented stuff for litterbox whatsoever or kitty litter can kill the bun or make him really ill.

can use yesterdays news for litter or aspen and lets see a play pen to help litter box train him they love cardboard boxes and some things to protect your wires which they love to chew looks like tree roots to them ahaaa. your phone cord cable and computer cords oh and elec cords.

I use sling tubing must have spent a fortune on it well actually about 50.00 to cover everything ahaaa

the # to a rabbit savvy vet nearby in case of emergency and will need spay/neuter of the bun. and some emergency kit just in case. oh and some greens to introduce slowly to see if he is ok with them stomache wise.

how old is it? oh they seem to love to chew on cardboard some of those toys mine hardly touch so I have some cardboard boxes for them to play and chew on and put holes with toilet paper empty piece and put hay or what not in it give them something to do. never know yours may love the toys you bought for it mine don’t care for them picky buns mine are. enjoy your new friend

oh i will! i bought a video camera so i would have pics and videos always! i am such an animal lover that when my pets grow old i always feel guilty that i dont have enough pics and stuff so i wanted to change that and get a video cam so it will be different with my bunny!

Oh my goodness that is so cute! any particlar kidn of rabbit you are looking to adopt? A lop eared one, a straight eared one, a dutch or bigger bunny, maybe a rex?
