I haven’t really posted to many pictures of Archie on here. So I took some today ![]()

What a sweetheart! I love his coloring, and he looks so soft.
pancake bunny!!! so pretty!
Yep, love a good bunny puddle pic!
Oh nice and he doesn’t chew your books back there? Wow. Good Good bunny. Very pretty too.

Haha! Well we had to move a book up high and he did try to chew a dvd cover
We’ll get the mess cleaned up this week…I think he liked X-mas because he liked trying to climb back by the tree…he’s still learning the meaning of “no Archie” Now he’s trying to chew the furniture but hopefully he’ll learn that every time he tries that, he gets a time out in his cage
he has white-tipped ears just like my Maxie! how cute!
And white tipped ears like Chuck too!!!
What a freaking doll!! He’s very cute!
Aww, cute lop. Lops are just too adorable.
he looks like a puppy in that first pic!! don’t you just adore him?
He reminded me of Max at first too.
He’s a cuddle puddle! How old is he?
i think i remember on his petfinder ad they said he was young? maybe one year old?
We’re not sure exactly how old he really is but the shelter said when they brought them to the vet, they guessed around 1 or 2. My vet couldn’t say either. I’m guessing maybe 1. Or however old they are when they start getting mischievous and gets into everything no matter what haha!
Aw, what a beautiful bun!, love his markings.
well that doesn’t narrow it down! that’s 3 months to 12 years… lol!
He’s so adorable! I love his dark little muzzle! Cute.
Thanks you guys! He’s a handfull sometimes!
If his fur was a little lighter it would almost look like he got into the chocolate hehe!
He looves lying like a puddle, it’s so cute!
Aaw, I love a good bunny puddle pic and when combined with a lop pic…just too much cuteness!!!
Archie is gorgeous! I dont remember..do you have another bun for Archie to bond with?
The reason i ask..I have a male lop who is horrible about taking care of his fur. His mate, Pookie does a great job but wow…he just drags his ears thru whatevers in the floor. lol
Do you have paper towel rolls or TP rolls Archie can chew on to keep him busy? Or willow from the BB store for him to chew on? He is like a baby- he needs redirection.
I like that in the last photo he looks like he is contemplating weather or not to disapprove of that lettuce!
I put a paper towel roll in his cage…I think he’s particular with toys. But I did go to the busy bunny store and bought a cottage (since they were sold out here) and also ordered a willow ball. I’ll probably try to make some card board toys this week for him too.
I do have another bun, Mickey, but he’s staying with my parents since that’s where he was raised and he’s 12 years old. I’d be afraid to bond them because he’s not looking too healthy (he’s on his last leg
) and he was never neutered so he’s not as friendly as Archie. But I really want to get another minilop but I think I’ll wait until the summer because right now money is tight and I don’t think I’d convince my husband haha! He does love Archie though and he wants to build him a bigger cage in the basement so he has more space. But it’ll be later on.
i also think it’s a good idea to wait to get a second. that will give you time to get used to Archie, he’ll get used to you guys… you’ll be able to better bond with him yourself, so then when it does come time to get him a girlfriend, you’ll have a better idea of his personality… and there’s less of a chance you’ll be ignored once the new bun comes home.
So how long would you wait? Like next year? It would be better to get a girl rather than a boy rabbit? I think it’ll be better once we get the basement all cleared out. We’re having our footer drain cleared out right now because we were getting water coming up from the ground, yuck! But once that’s all done and we organize everything we’re going to get some of those grid things and make a big cage and pen for him.
well, it’s really your call. you said waiting til the summer, so about 6 months, that sounds fine. i had my female for a year before we adopted our second, and that worked out well for us, but it’s going to depend on your own situation.
this might not be an issue with you, but it was something we were concerned about: a second bunny, while not much more work, does require more money. double food, hay, veggies, litter and vet care add up. before we got Max, i was keeping track of what i was spending on Meadow per month so i knew if we could realistically afford to spend double that amount. we could… so we got Max. ;o)
it’s wonderful having two, i could watch them snuggle together all day long…
Beka I love your siggy!!!!
I’m glad these questions are being asked, b/c another bunny has been on my mind for quite awhile!
He’s warming up to me and coming to my lap to be petted…and eat my jeans. He loves having attention. He was following me everywhere tugging at my pants to be petted. We might have to get our basement wall waterproofed so we will wait on another one for awhile. Thanks :o)
